Diablo 3 community site keep growing larger now with the addition of loads of information about different weapons, armors, runes, gems and more.
The new things I noticed when compared to Diablo 2:
1. New armor pieces (Legs, Shoulders, Wrists).
2. Crafting materials and recipes.
3. Skill changing Runestones.
4. Armor Dyes
5. class restricted weapons and armors (was in Lord of Destruction but not as much).

Also you can wear this hat
dye your armor in gray, wield a sword and a wand and call your hero Gandlaf. I don't see how this can get anymore cooler.
