I'm just graduating with my BS degree in IT, and well I'm a bit broke, looking at not a lot of job prospects, and facing needs such as housing, vehicle, and staying alive. Diablo 3 just isn't looking very enticing. Between its always online mode only, pay to win cash shop, and that whole made by the right hand of the devil Activision/Blizzard (EA taking the left), I can't seem to muster any interest or care.
I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't think I care. I just found out about Quest for Glory on GoG for $10 (looks at nearly empty wallet) vs a game that requires an Internet connection I might not have next week.
(at least steam lets me play my games offline).
Edit:
The point is, I'm broke, out of school and out of work. Its May and I'm not the only broke out of work, just graduated person. Yet despite no one I know having any money, they are ALL talking about D3. I spent a bit of time analyzing my own feelings and made a post about them. So yeah, slightly pointless, but I just wanted to throw my thoughts out there to see if there were any other broke out of work possibly ex-college graduates out there wondering if they can still justify the overall expense of playing this highly anticipated game. So far, with the feedback I'm getting, I think I'm alone on this. People are planning on investing in this game whether they can afford to or not.
