I was just wondering where the best place is to download a patch/mod for Diablo II that lets you play in a higher resolution.

Whats wrong with diablo 2s resolution settings?

I'd rather have it higher than 800x600.

Surely you can find a way to change the resolution for Diablo 2, if I found a way to change the resolution to 1920x1080 in Baldur's Gate 2.

Damn, i'm using XP and according to that guy i'd then get some slow downs.

I did a search myself for this, but I didn't find anything.
Apparently, it would 'break' the game, since your view window would be way higher compared to the monsters. Mean: With any ranged weapon, you could just sit back and plug everyone and they'd do nothing because they can't 'see' you.
Seems a bit unfair. Plus you'd be banned from BNet. It's considered a hack.

Yeah there is a nice mod for that. And i enjoy the resulution (in battlenet it counts as cheating though (increased range for well ranged attacks, teleports etc)but but the models are soooo tiny now. Looks more like an rts than a hacknslay


and to the guy above me, the monsters do "see" you once you attacked them. But you definatly get some edge, making it very easy as amazon or sorc

Holy crap, I didn't think anyone did that with this game anymore. Does this mean you're playing it in 640x480?

If you like the game, get the expansion. It makes everything so much better.

I was only allowed to buy a certain amount of games due to money, which was the Baldurs Gate Compilation, Neverwinter Nights and Diablo II. I'l probably buy the expansion soon.

NWN is all about the online multiplayer though, Persistant Campaign Worlds baby. MMO in a box with no Subscription fee's. Bring your roleplaying pants. I hang out on Escape from the Underdark- Archipelago under PW and Story, where my Elven Cleric of Mystra currently hawks wands 4 kash.

Never played BG2...Hear it's tits awesome though.

You wouldn't be able to see anything, since it would effectively zoom out really far due to the small pixel size of the sprites.
