I've heard so much about BF4 that I'm sick of it already. I really can't wait till these modern military shooters just go away. I don't even play them and the devs will be out of the job once everyone else moves on to something different.

I don't understand why devs are still making games for the current platforms. If they want to sell the next gen they shouldn't provide an alternative to the next gen version, and have they seen BF on current consoles? It doesn't necessarily look bad but the maps have to be made tiny with about half as many control points and that makes me sad.

They probably don't want to, I bet it's most likely a publisher's decision.

^This. Although it's strange if BF3 looked better on consoles than on PC, considering PC had way more potential for being graphically superior.

That said, I don't honestly give a damn. BF3 looked just fine to me on PC and my decision on buying BF4, is being impeded by the Premium bullshit as I love the game, but can't really pay some 100+ euros for it. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind buying DLCs (well I do, but not that much), it's the fact that I have to pay it all at once (including DLCs that I won't give a shit about, they'll probably do another Close Quarters kinda thing and that's not what I play BF for) or I get a 50 euro game that has servers I can't join because I'm not Premium. And that's kinda where I'd like to draw a line.

I get what they're saying, but it's an easy thing to say when you're rolling around in EA's obscene budgets.
I'll counter it by reminding publishers that they are under no obligation to use every scrap of processor power available.
