Seriously, something sounds a bit rotten. Not to mention how rotten it smells...
May have called the police too, depending on my impression of the situation.

Heck, you didn't overreact enough. I'd have tried to memorize his plates as he drove off.

Worse case scenario, you're wrong, but the cops aren't going to take an innocent man to court without a thorough investigation to determine his guilt.

You did good, I wouldn't have bothered. In fact, I wouldn't even have bothered to talk to the dude. Especially such a shifty sounding potential paedo.

Nice. It wasn't over reacting. It was just smart. I had a teacher who is a cop and he said that people do this shit all the time. Good job man.

You aren't over reacting at all, not like you accused the man of murder. :p

If hes innocent then there's no harm done, simply a misunderstanding. If hes guilty then serves him right for being so thick.

It's the police's job to investigate suspicious things, and that was most certainly suspicious. I doubt I would've called cops, however.

Nope, that was the right thing to do. Check the paper for a while, there's going to be a mention of a stolen home theatre system.

Yeah sounds dodgey to me. It is illegal, actually, in the same way the planning murder is still a crime

No, you didn't overreact.

Everything has its price, even if it's a shitload.

Seriously? Who would sell a home theatre centre for $200?

No, that's perfectly valid. When you have enough reason to think something's going on, you can't waste the coppers' time. That's what they do, check dodgy stuff out. Even if it turns out to be nothing, they used their time well. So.... good job!

This sounds suspiciously like all the things your mom warned you about. If a strange man in a vaguely identifiable van lurks around a local child hot spot and offers to give you something that is irresistible to the children at said hot spot, as long as you give him your money and get in the van, you should probably get the fuck out of there before he comes barreling towards your backside sans pants. And I'm not just saying that because people who go to Gamestop on Sunday afternoon rather then a Friday or Saturday when they can play whatever they bought generally have the defensive capabilities of a freshly molested child.

As long as you didn't call 911, but the local whatever it's called.

911 is for when you see him steal it.

I wouldn't. Because I'm very apathetic and un-motivated.

I would of though if I wasn't those two...

It was a good call. I meaaan he would have probably just screwed over some other person later on.
