Ok so I'm playing Halo 3 co-op on legendary with a friend of mine, splitscreen. We had gotten to one of the last parts of the mission(forget the name but its the one where you kill one of the prophets at the end) where you have to defeat the two scarabs.
Well, my friend is piloting the Hornet as Chief and I'm Arby flying on the wing. He flies me in and I hop off and take down the first scarab as a I scurry back to the Hornet. As we zone in on the second Scarab my friend is raining hell upon the Brutes onboard while I do nothing. So, I figure I should do something so I heave a plasma grenade from the side of the Hornet onto the Scarab which is a good 50-100 feet away if I were to guess. The grenade blows up and kills two brutes, but it left me wondering...did I actually stick one of the brutes?
I was pretty sure that I had landed my grenade on one of the brutes since I've all but mastered the art of throwing plasmas in that game, among my friends I'm notorious for my grenade sticks. It turns out that when we went to look at the film after completing the mission my grenade stuck a brute right in the hand in what is now known as the Immaculate Grenade Toss; my friend and I high-fived in celebration. Much to my dismay I didn't/couldn't save the film so I can't prove anything, but my word is good. Why would I take the time to make this up?
Has anything "epic" happened in a videogame where you couldn't believe your eyes or maybe something really cool happened, like a three head shot with one bullet?
