Did we really NEED to win the webby?

My argument is this...

Yeah you get more famous, wooo (waves flag sluggishly)

All I care about is The Escapist itself, at the moment, its a very respectable site with mostly respectable people. The more you advertise the more corruption you draw, for example, I've steered clear of the internet for a couple of days because /b/ is/was (I don't know anymore) down, if your famous during that time, we might have morons putting the Escapist down.

I don't know, people are more into rewards then me, I would assume, so this just might be how I think, any comment from any of you?

Makes me wonder, without Webby #1, would we have gotten There Will be Brawl and Doomsday Arcade? They're 2 of the most high budget webseries I've seen.
