Yes I did. It has some of my favorite Pokemon in it. Team Galactic was an awesome villain, though I liked Aqua/Magma's costumes more. I also liked the 5th generation, and will be getting Black 2.

My favorite generation of Pokemon.
It was the only generation I have fully completed the pokedex for.
Now, excuse my while I go try and find my copy.
EDIT: Let's not forget that it has the best Gym battle music out of every generation.

It was alright. Cynthia was really cool; she might be my favorite Champion yet. The rest of Gen IV, though, feels highly forgettable to me.
I wasn't a huge fan of the region, or really the Pokémon. Some of them were cool, but I honestly can't recall many of them off the top of my head outside of the ridiculous amount of Legendaries.
I honestly cannot tell you any of the locations from Sinnoh. I can't remember any of them.

I loved the fourth Gen! The designs of the Pokemon were pretty cool and original, the region was nice and diverse, and the Gym Leaders and Elite Four were pretty cool too.
Not my favorite though, that title belongs to the second Gen.

I liked it, but the region itself was pretty forgettable. The most memorable regions, in my opinion, were Johto, Hoenn, Kanto, in that order, with Unova and Sinnoh bringing up the rear. The region is good in concept, but it's missing a certain... something that the other had.
That being said, the Pokémon were good, with Empoleon being one of my all-time favourites, and the concept of the starters having some way to counter the one that's normally effective against it is awesome. With the Platinum 'Dex expansion, the Pokémon selection went from decent, but rather unbalanced, to great. Cyrus was an alright villain. From a gameplay perspective, the physical/special move split was a tremendous occasion for the series, and particularly the metagame.
However, generation 4 introduced one mechanic that's on my personal un-fun list, right up near the top with Eviolite: Stealth Rock. If it were like Spikes, then I wouldn't have a problem. However, Stealth Rock damage is affected by typing and cannot be dodged without something with Magic Guard in the fourth gen, limiting your choices to Clefable or Clefable. Magic Guard was given to more Pokémon in the fifth gen, and Magic Bounce was introduced, but we're not talking gen 5.
Why do I hate Stealth Rock so much? Let's look at it this way: That awesome Charizard that you put all of your effort into raising, because Charizard is your favourite Pokémon ever? Crippled. Stealth Rock takes off 50% of its HP. You want to use a Fire, Ice, Bug or Flying-type? Sorry. All weak to the Stealth Rocks. Even Pokémon that aren't weak to it can still take a significant enough amount of damage. It's just... too controlling of the metagame. It had the competitive scene in a stranglehold. It just wasn't fun. That's why I hate it, and why I will never have Stealth Rock on any of my competitive Pokémon.

Actually, even though I try to like every generation, Gen IV seemed to be the most forgettable. Sure it has some nice Pokemon, but it added some of the horribly unneeded final Evos of Gen I Pokemon. It also has some of the most forgettable Pokemon, in my opinion. I feel like the games themselves were kind of all over the place and didn't seem focused at all. I guess Gen IV did introduce some important mechanics, but overall I consider it the worst generation. Keep in mind my favorite Gen is V, so I'm not a "genwunner" or whatever the kids are calling it these days.

With Gen 4, I enjoyed the Underground, the new roster of Pokemon, the new evolutions of past Pokemon (especially Leafeon and Glaceon), the VS Seeker is great for training Pokemon and obtaining money, the little applications on the touch screen are fun and helpful, and the vast amount of legendaries that are found in this game (give it up for Arceus, as the Pokemon God).
There are some things that I did not like about Gen 4, though. Personally, I was disappointing at the lack of new and obtainable Fire-types. Basically, there are only 5 new Fire-types in this game: Chimchar and their two evolutions, Magmortar, and Heatran. If you don't choose Chimchar, you're stuck with only Ponyta until the end of the game.
I also think that the abundant amount of legendaries caused the lack of originality, creativity, and charm from the Gen 5 roster (I mean, how do you top a God Pokemon?).
Despite that, it was a great Gen with an awesome roster of Pokemon and I would gladly restart the game.

I liked Gen 4, but I feel it was the weakest gens in terms of region design and pokemon. I hated many of the added evolutions with the Eeveelutions, Mismagius and Honchcrow being the few I liked, and felt the region was set up kinda poorly. They also had way too many event legendaries with Darkrai, Arceus, Regigas, Manaphy and Phione, and Shaymin not being available without the wi fi events or a different game being needed to get them (I got Platinum, so I missed most of the events to get them.) Though it did give me my favorite Eevee and my favorite legendary, also remakes of Gold and Silver, which were amazing.
Yeah, definitely! Diamond was the game I sunk the most hours into. I probably spent most of those hours digging in the underground though.
I took a sort of Pokemon hiatus after gen 3. I did eventually get Diamond and Platinum and once I had then I had a ton of fun with them! I really liked Garchomp and Giratina but I didn't really care too much for the starters. The games were fun but gen 4 had the weakest starters.

If we are including the remakes, then it's my favorite Generation. The Physical/Special split was an amazing improvement and I absolutely adore the interface for HG/SS.
Yeah it was a shame they didn't bring back the bottom touch screen menu back for B/W. I never use the C-Gear and it would have been nice to have the option to switch between the 2.shrekfan246 said:
Not nearly as much as I enjoyed gens 2 and 3 which is really sad because I put 100 hours into both Silver and Emerald. The design wasn't as cool to me too many over designed or underwhelming designs. Also I can't remember a single song from gen 4.

Gen 4 is pretty much what got me OUT of Pokemon. I just didn't want to shell out for the same game filled with what I thought were increasingly uninspired creatures.
It's the first Pokemon game I've played all the way through.
I played Red, Yellow, and Ruby before it but I never got through them back then. Probably due to a lack of skill on my part.
Looking back, I can definetly say I've enjoyed it.

Aside from a few pokemon that I liked it was pretty forgettable. I think it's the second worst in the series, the worst being the first generation.
