Did you ever do something in a game that bothered you afterwards?

There is a spot in Dragon Age where you have a choice of helping a child get rid of the demon inside him or killing him. My character choose to kill him. The cut-scene after that was a little painful.

I just made sure that the other character I was playing choose another way.

In Heavy Rain one of the tests makes you choose between killing a drug dealer or sparing him. He says "Please I have kids" and then you get the choice. I shot him clean in the head and felt instantly sick afterwards. Damn that scene hit me hard.

Ya, every time I finish a game that gives you good or bad choices I always am super good on the first play through. But on the second play through I'm always Captain Nazi, and feel kinda bad for some of the innocents I ruthlessly slaughter...

No I don't think so, usually where games have good/evil choices I will play though once good and once evil. Both can be fun, its about role playing. I do tend to role play in RPG games, i.e. if my character is an assassin I will act like an assassin - efficient, no remorse etc. If I'm playing a knight I try to act chivalrously etc..

When I played through Myst 3, I got to the end, and got the ending where you
trap Saavedro between the two shields forever but get the book.
I assumed that this was the only way to complete it and it made me feel like an evil bastard, but then when I was in bed later I worked out how I could complete it and make everyone happy, so I went back the next day and completed it the proper way, which made me happy :D

I didn't really feel bad. He chased me round his house with a shotgun. I was pretty pissed.

OT: Red Dead Redemption. I was on a mission and was passing through armadillo when one of those random encounters spawned where a man was about to kill a woman. I just rode on past but then felt a bit bad about it.

Something not quite along the same lines as what has been said so far, but I'm always bothered if I find somehting out in an RPG (say by having a conversation with someone) that doesn't affect gameplay but simply gets me information/lets me watch an interesting cutscene. If I then die I feel like I should have whatever conversation again, even though I have already seen it I feel like my character hasn't, and it bothers me.
Did that make sense?

Well yeah, he did try to shoot me with a shotgun, but then I stopped and thought, "I was willing to kill him to see my son again, yet he is willing to kill me to see his daughter again." There is a slightly odd symmetry to the situation.

Not really afterwards, but I spent some time thinking whether I should save or kill each person when given the option in Bioshock 2.

There was a period in my life in which I couldn't manage to kill anything in a game; particularly not in a sandbox game.

Anyone play KOTOR on the dark side?

First Jolee, damn it, why did he try to fight, and then Zaalbar and Mission, but I didn't really care about her.

At least I got to keep HK-47 but I felt really bad, I stopped playing for a few minutes to mourn their passing.

Haha I shot him the second the prompt came up. Didn't even bother stopping to think. I did fail the cutscene on purpose to see what happens and he wont actually kill you which is a dissappointment.

My friend spared him and when I told him the choice I made he called me "A cold blooded son'o *****!"

God yes.

I'd been using Jolee as one of my main companions and I really grew to like him, especially since he's not a 'high and mighty' jedi but a more down to earth, reasonable one. Honestly he's one of my favourite jedi characters ever. It was especially upsetting because I'd been levelling him up and getting him experience for the whole game and turning him into a badass. This made immobilising him with terror and stabbing him with my lightsabrer all the harder.

on my 1st playthrough of Mass Effect2, Garrus got gunned down on the suicide mission, and that actually kinda hit me hard. He was my favorite character in the entire series, and has practicly been my right hand man since the first time we met on the Citadel, and watching him die like that legitimately pissed me off. Needless to say, I went on to slaughter every last one of those collector bastards after that. Their blood did not bring him back, but at least it brought me a sense of closure that my(Shepard's) best friend didn't die in vein.
