As a kid I made up many different worlds. In one there were several continents and countries that were named after the first names of my friends and family. There were wars being fought constantly. The consequences of drama in real life were reflected in my imaginary world, causing armies to be destroyed or navies to lose significant battles.

I had another world in my imagination where the last names of my friends and families were the names of giant space factions and colonies. Cars, bikes, everything was a spaceship/station/planet. Heck, even my dog was a space anomaly.

So Escapist, did you ever create giant, detailed worlds inside your mind that you kept to yourself?

[sub]Oh and I did have many friends. I made these worlds because it was fun, not because I didn't have friends.[/sub]

I had...something like that. I had this ongoing thing where my life was a TV show on my own network running 24/7, and each school year was a season.

I also had a whole continuity for my toys that was almost DBZ like, in that characters would seemingly die but come back. There was even an in-universe tournament called War Games that was like a sick combination of Mario Party and Advance Wars.

I also had a separate continuity for my stuffed animals. I also had a further separate daydreaming continuity.

On top of that, to this day I have recurring places in my dreams.

Oh tell me about it. My Daydreams have frequently seeped into my dreams.

I have a Mothership named and modeled after Yggdrasil, and it's perfectly fine to still entertain fanciful speculations since I wouldn't be too good if I couldn't think of stuff.

Hey, welcome to the Dark Dominion, a reality filled with chaos and evil, ruled by an unscrupulous demon and his fellow Brethren. Yeah, you might say I have a few worlds under the belt. Actually, a flipping multiverse with about a whole buncha' different races and creatures in it. I still come up with this stuff, being a writer in trade.

I sort of did something similar with scantron tests. Each letter column was a contestant in a race to the end of the test, with each question answered showing which letter was currently in first place. The letters had personalities and goals and everything.

Those were fun times.

I still take those, so I still pretend those are Rock Band guitar tracks, and I strum it out whenever I finish my test. (sometimes the answer choices are "AB" or something like that)
