So, after quitting World of Warcraft, I have been looking for other things to fill my time. I found old episodes of Digimon for download (legally of course), and I am thoroughly enjoying it.

(Season 3 for those who can't tell)

I was just wanting to know if any Escapists like or still watch Digimon from time to time.

If you don't like it, that's fine. Just keep it civil.

I used to watch it as a kid. It was good back in the day. I kinda got lost and gave up as the seasons went on. There was one season where the kids merged with the digimon @.@

Yeah, that would be the end of Season 3.

I used to and I thought they were fun to watch. Same though it was looked down by everyone I knew when I was little.

Doesn't Disney XD still play it?

The Playstation games were pretty fun from what I remember.

The television series was laughed at in primary school.

Hey, there's actually a Digimon MMO Beta that went up early last month, it might still be running.

I loved Digimon World as a kid, and still love the movie to this day. Digimon = Win.

I'll admit it...I liked the digimon movie over the pokemon movie. It was better animated and I liked how it went between generations. The fight scenes were superior as well.

I loved season 1&2 liked season 3 and from there I didn't like it anymore. Patamon and Angemon were kick ass.

It was really so so for me. I enjoyed the "PEW PEW, BRAKA BRAKA BZZZ" of the action, but it didn't hold alot of substance to me

Yeah, that would be the end of Season 3.

That was not season 3. Season 3 was awesome. It's when they actually tried doing some mature storytelling.

I wish they would remake Yu-gi-oh closer to the manga. It's much better. He doesn't only play duel monsters in it either. He has also burned a few people alive.

I've played the MMO and must say it is absolutely grind-tastic, and pretty dull, but as it is a Beta, most of the content is disabled. However, it will be a real treat for hardcore DigiDestined like myself when everything is available in the whole game.

A couple of months ago I started watching Digimon again. Quit rather soon though. Digimon was better than Pokémon story-wise, so I really got into it for the first few seasons. After that, it got kinda stale.

I loved the series both as a kid and as a late-game teenager, and vastly preferred it over Pokemon.

The American Digimon movie was not well made, being a combination of three vastly different movies, but I do suggest watching the original short film that spawned the series and Our War Game, the first full-length movie that is, as discernible from the title, an adaptation of WarGames (no joke). It was directed by Mamoru Hosoda, who directed the award-winning The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Summer Wars movies.

Quoted for Truth. The series bombed at Season 4 and Season 5 never really recovered the original three's magic. Also the Americanization of 5 was a tragedy.
