In the anime Roujin Z (Dubbed, at the very least), a few characters are in a meeting and one man is presenting a presentation (Oddly enough). He talks at length about Japan's ageing population, using a variety of acronyms until just before the meeting is interrupted...

"...and then we can all get our Special Homes In The Sun, or shi-"

And that's when the meeting is interrupted.

ok... apparently people don't get the meaning of "real",

I'm looking for real life situations, if I wanted fictional examples, I would've added citizens united negating technology for life and people's safety

'Copper Nanotubes', when it is pointed out that a similar anacronym for Carbon is 'CNT' and the chemical symbol for copper is Cu... (yes, this is actually real and appeared a comical number of times in a published paper...)

Yes yes, "keep it real". But some of these are more hilarious when they're found in comedy. Such as this gem from Red Dwarf:

"I call it 'The Committee for the Liberation and Integration of Terrifying Organisations and their Rehabilitation Into Society'. Erm, one drawback with that - the abbreviation is 'CLITORIS'."

That one reminds me of the "Coilition for the Liberation of Itinerate Tree-Dwellers" or C.L.I.T. from Jay and Silent Bob Strike back...It's an off shoot of "Liberate Apes Before Imprisoning Apes" Movement...or L.A.B.I.A.

Technological Hierarchy for the Removal of Undesireables and the Subjugation of Humanity from the Man from U.N.C.L.E.

Didn't really mean the same in the 60's.

There's also the Change Risk Analysis and Predictions for Java. http://www.crap4j.org/

I read about this:

in the 1800s when the shipped cow turds to burn as fuel they kept igniting in the ships for a reason i don't remember right now, anyway on the barrels that had said cow droppings, to prevent anymore explosions, they marked the barrels:
Ship High In Transit or S.H.I.T.
