Does anyone know how I can disable ads on YouTube? Because it's really starting to piss me off when I'm watching or listening to a video, and then they automatically start. And sometimes, I don't even know where the fuck they are, so I can't pause or mute it (if it even has one).

Well, first, what you want to do is fire up your computer, plug in a second appliance (doesn't matter what kind) and as the advertisement starts to play, dip your finger in a glass of water, partially pull the second appliance out of the activated socket, and stick your wet finger in.

The resulting electric shock should incapacitate you for roughly thirty seconds, which gives the advertisement time to run its course. It's not skipping, but due to the voltage disrupting your natural flow of brain electricity, you won't even remember the ad occurring, so it'll be just like you did skip it!

Or just have porn playing in another tab.

If porn is currently a viable option, they don't need to have youtube open.

This is true. I concede to your superior logic.

Wait... what!?

I have never seen an ad start halfay through a vid... and they are always on the window in the middle of the screen, so I have never lost them! What ads are you referring to?

Wow, I haven't ever come across one of those! Is it new? Are they becoming more common?

OT: I suppose the best thing to do is stick with established channels... Bands tend to have their own channels, and I have never come across ads in music I watch. Then stick some play lists together... they work really well, and you know that the vids that you put in there are not going to have disruptive ads...

Alternatively try Last.fm for music... better sound quality usually, and a wider selection... also easy to find new music based off of your own tastes...

How was that? Serious enough?

Well i don't know. In my own experiences with Youtube ADvertisements they tend to be pretty difficult to block.

Unfortunately I don't know of any BLOCKER for, lets say Firefox, that a PRO could use to prevent such advertisements.

I would sincerely hope that a person who would use such a program would, like myself under such circumstances, disable it on websites that he frequents and enjoys so as to support them instead of taking away their advertisment income.

No, not ads in the video themselves; I'm fine with them, and there's often an option to skip them anyway. I'm talking about ads on the side of the screen that just randomly start while I'm watching a video, and sometimes I don't even know where the fuck they are, so I can't press their mute button if I wanted to.
