I don't think so. I was simply saying Gura has been other, retired, characters in the past. To your point on actresses going solo or getting a new character, Gura is an example of an actresses getting a new character after retiring an old one.

ah, ok. Yeah I mean, the reason she's quitting is the key thing to me. If she's just like "yeah I'm tired of vtubing, want to do other things" cool, good luck to her. If it's some contractual thing, well, find then, just rebrand and go do it elsewhere. She CLEARLY has a large enough fan base to have them migrate to her new site. I'm sure she would do just fine.
She's been very open about her reasons for leaving and it has to do with lack of ability to do all the things she wants to while part of a high profile company. Coco is a very intelligent person but she's also very subversive and irreverent (Her intro phrase was, "Good morning motherf*ckers!") so she wants more ability to be creative.
As for Gura; Gura never graduated from her previous persona as she was an indie vtuber before joining Hololive and now she's the most subscribed vtuber in the world.
Well cool then. If she's just leaving behind a company that has been holding her back creatively, then more power to her. In that sense, I would say "graduating" is actually pretty accurate, not just some euphemism.
Yes. She's left on good terms with everyone who works at Hololive. Many of the other talents tried to talk her out of it but ultimately decided to respect her decision. She did a lot to make vtubers popular and she was a very supportive and helpful person to all the other talents. Her farewell video with her genmates in particular had and caused a lot of tears. This isn't like previous graduations in Hololive that happened due to bad circumstances (Like the disolving of the entire Chinese branch) she's someone who will still be refered to and we may sometimes hear her during Kanata's streams (A gemate who shares and appartment with Coco)
