Eh. An Star Wars game that looks way too inspired by Uncharted for its own good gets shelved? I'm not going to cry about it.

Maybe this'll mean that Disney will get its shit together and make a Battlefront sequel.

I'm not particularly worried here. They're most likely just doing a double check of everything to make sure its up to snuff. Consider how much stuff the license currently had in development when Disney bought it: all the games, novels, comics, etc. Disney needs to evaluate everything, after all LucasArts' previous management was known for some questionable decisions (BattleFront III cancellation, Kinect Star Wars, I'm looking at you). So their hands are a bit full at the moment, especially with the new movie.

Star Wars 1313 looks like one of the most original, creative Star Wars games to come along in years, which is why it's a shame it may never see the light of day.
...really? Is that really what you think?

That game looks like a cross between Mass Effect and Half Life with a Star Wars paint job (other people are referring to Uncharted, but I've never played those games). Perhaps you think it's original because the main character doesn't use a lightsaber.

1313 has looked like a joke from the very beginning. I'm really not surprised that it's being shelved.

Off-topic: safecount.net can kiss my ass.

Ok Disney...we need to have a little chat. Now, I'm quite happy to let you discard elements of the expanded universe: It was rather messy anyway and there were alot of things in there that just SHOULDN'T have happened (Palpatine ressurection, looking at you). And, hey, you probably have good reason for not going through with this game.

BUT! If you ever, ever, EVER conceive of making this guy right here Non-canon((Some music to fit the mood [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTRTGtM1hAU])):

I can assure you that the backlash will make the Mass Effect 3 ending controversy seem like a slap fight between children by comparison, and will make the complaints about the prequel trilogy seem but a quiet grumbling next to the sheer volume of this most disastrous mistake. I can give you no comparison in either human or fictional history that can even come close to the carnage and destruction that will be unleashed if Kyle Katarn is erased from the Canon. This is the only warning you will receive, for if you follow through with this act...the Fallout will destroy even a corporation as great and mighty as your own. I leave the decision in your hands, and i trust you will not make it lightly.

Wait, we're sad that Star Wars Uncharted is shelved?
And then people say Tomb Raider is ripping off Uncharted as Uncharted ripped off Tomb Raider and Tomb Raider ripped off Indiana Jones...

Is this a problem? Improvements would be nice like some sci-fi gadgets and not just bare-bones guns and grenades.

Good, interesting idea that gaming as a whole industry would benefit from?

Better put it in development hell. Need moar CoD clones.
Because Uncharted - IN SPAAACE!!! was looking absolutely revolutionary.

OT: All I want to hear is them giving the go-ahead to one of Obsidian's Star Wars ideas. Couldn't give a crap about this. One of the most perfect licenses for games and it's handled by people with no imagination whatsoever.

I bet the game was frozen so the team could work on crappy tie-in games for the new movies. After a run of terrible tie-in games, the studio will go under and Star Wars 1313 will be passed to Gearbox to finish who will then outsource it to another company making another Duke Nukem Forever or Aliens: Colonial Marines.
