The best Fantastic Four movie is finally getting a sequel!

The Incredibles is one of my absolute favorite animated films so yeah. This is fucking awesome.

Mole-men Illuminati confirmed!

I've heard rumors that it would focus on Elasti-girl and that could have worked but Jack-Jack was definitely one of the major cliffhangers they ended the last movie with.

Hopefully we'll get to see more of Violet as well. ,)

The Incredibles is squarely in my "again and again" folder.

Ehh I don't know, I used to think the Increadibles was the best thing ever since sex, but now I just don't see the hype for it anymore. And considering we live in an age of superhero oversaturation the movie is obviously gonna be a satire or a play on how there are too many superhero movies or something. Or mabye I have completely grown out of Pixar right now, I stopped really caring after Toy Story 3.

And no stop comparing this movie to the Fantastic Four :p

When Fox makes a good F4 movie, then maybe people might stop. But we know that will never happened

I still think The Incredibles is the best F4 movie ever made. I would not mind if a crossover with Big Hero 6 was made. THat would really get me jumping towards a screening.

A film about a family of 4 superheroes (5 since Jack-Jack kinda counts a little) with one who has stretch powers, super strength and force fields. Heck, Jack-Jack has fire powers at one point. Its actually kinda fair to compare it to Fantastic Four. Though the plot is eerily similar to their own interpretation of Watchmen.

I still care for Pixar and excited for Incredibles 2. I loved Inside Out, but I feel they have been just eh with Finding Dory and bad with Good Dinosaur. I hope its good.

Just because 2 of them have powers similar to the Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic does not mean Fantastic Four and even then DC also has a hero that streches. And Super Strength is pretty much a given in any Superhero world.

If anything the Increadibles is Superman (Sans Heat Vision and Flying, but has the appearence of a leader figure hero like Superman), The Flash, Invisible Woman, and Mr Fantastic/Plastic-Man with a boobs.

The reason why people compare it to FF is because of the family angle which is one of the things FF is known for also while Dash and Johnny have different powers they do share similar personalities.

I hear Coco (their most recent film) is really good (at least, good enough that it's the highest grossing film in Mexico).

OT: Not the biggest fan of The Incredibles, but I can't lie, I am looking forward to seeing how good this is.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
Ehh, I mean I'm sure it will be good... I guess. Pixar tends to be rather reliable... sometimes. I guess they have more good movies than bad. I used to love Incredibles but I don't know. Maybe if it looked like they had aged the cast up by like 10 years I would be more interested but for now, I doubt it can do anything as interesting as My Hero Academia or One Punch Man, or Mob Psycho 100 (its kinda super hero).

Plus it seems like all the interesting 3d animated movies are coming out of Disney animation, not Pixar anymore. I found toy story 3 to be a dud and I guess Inside Out was ok, but I haven't really really liked anything from Pixar since Wall-E.

I guess the reason the first movie was so popular was more because it was a likeable family Dynamic, that happened to be in a superhero setting, if they just go full superhero movie it will probably be worse for it. I suspect they have to do a time jump right? We already saw this entire family dynamic and arc in the first movie, so if you don't age it up,what is their to really do with these character (unless they do the most annoying thing possible and have everything focus around keeping Jack Jack safe as hijinks ensure.)

Yeah, but from the trailer it really seems like they will probably be emphasizing Jack Jack. I suppose they could throw a curve ball, but it really looks like they are implying the movie will be about the kid.

The Flash is just as much as a cocky joker as Johnny Storm is aswell (Was it Barry Allen or Wally West though?)

Yeah, me too.

What made the first movie work was watching each member of this family (except for the baby) find their place. Watching them disagree and fight with eachother was the best part of the movie. By the end this is all kind of resolved, and this sequel looks to be picking up right after the first. Aging up the cast might've given the oppertunity for new obstacles within the family and the world to have emerged.

I also would've liked to have seen Dash and Violet as a bit older and more experienced. I know this is just a teaser and probably not indicative of the final product, but I hope it isn't just going to be Jack-Jack shenanigans. It's also gonna be weird hearing different voices for Dash and Violet, which I assume is going to happen.

I agree with you sqns the Jack-Jack part. It's just a Teaser and they used the cute baby for marketing purposes, the only things that can be assumed from this is that the Characters won't be aged up and the Logo is probably final. Thats it. I'm more annoyed that Jack Jack will continue to be a non-entity outsid3 of D3us Ex Machina, a Baby can't really have a charqcter. Calling it now, Jack-Jack will hardly figur3 until the end in which he will be necessary to solve a Problem.

Flash and Violett aren't terribly interesting outside of their singular issues in the original. Violett lacks confidence and is shy, typical young t3enage girl. Flash is inexperienced and is fed jp with being held back. So his problem is basically th3 opposite, he's over confid3nt and showboatish. By the end both issues are either "solved" or being worked on...so I don't see much of room for their charact3rs to develope if we are pickuing up, at best, a few Months later. There's no logical place to take them, so I expec5 either new problems for them out of left-field, less significant roles gor both or retreading the same ground.

Really...altogether I just kinda think they waited too long and shouldn't even bother with the sequel at this point.

It's more that watching them discover what they could do with their powers was fun. Like Dash realizing he can run on water or using his speed to dodge punches. I'd like to see more of that. We never really see superhero movies where the superhero needs to get creative with their powers, because they typically have a couple. We also never see ones where they grow into their powers.
