...so I have a disney related logic issue. In Toy Story (any of them) its established that the toys love Andy more than anything, and would risk life and limb to get back to him. So why don't they just sit up and say "Hey Andy, we are real, don't get rid of us", problem solved?

(and yes I understand that there would be no story for a movie if that happened, but seriously what would you do in their position? Just sit there and pretend to not be real and get thrown away or would you made your presence known? Also, if they intend Toy Story 3 to be the last movie, wouldn't that be a great ending, "telling andy the truth"?) Just sayin' :)

Also, while watching Beauty and The Beast today (the disney one) I realized something. Since all the castle staff had been turned into random objects by the curse, who was the unlucky bastard who got turned into Beast's toilet?.....just sayin...ewww...

I'm just looking for some feedback on this (admittedly pointless) issue. And I am wondering, for all you fellow escapists out there who are disney fans, what other disney related logic issues have made you wonder "why did they do that?"

Well, I wonder why there's a number of adult topics hidden throughout as subliminal messages. For example, if you crank up your speakers after Aladdin pushes the tiger off on...uh, the princess's balcony you can hear "good teenagers,-" well, try it for yourself. Always thought that was odd.

Back on topic, uh...I've got nothing now.

Its a code, you aren't allowed to break the no talking to people code. The only reason Woody broke it with Sid was because another toy was in danger, otherwise you just aren't allowed.

As for BatB... ew...

It's illegal for toys to come alive while kids are there! Also as demonstrated with Cid, talking toys induces the "AHHH RUN AWAY" effect :3

Toy Story was made by Pixar, not Disney. Please don't confuse them, Pixar stuff is too awesome to clumped together with Disney.

Well, in the first Toy Story, when Woody convinced Cid's toys to revolt, he mentioned that they would have to "break a few rules". Obviously we haven't been told everything about the toys, and there's probably a good reason for them not showing that they're real to Andy.

That whole thing never bothered me, and I always pick out the little details like that. Hmm...

...how would you react if a bunch of inanimate objects came to life and started talking to you?

I'm willing to bet it involves drugs, flamethrowers, or both.

Have you ever seen the movie Toy Soldiers? I think that's why the toys decide to never come alive and talk to Andy. Plus, let's not forget all the politics and science that would suddenly get involved. Are toys alive? If so, do they have a soul? Do they have rights? How do they talk? If we throw them away, are we being cruel? Should they have a say in how the world is run? The list goes on...

Very original post, by the way. I like it.

I can't think about Toy Story without comparing it to the old Raggedy Ann & Andy movie that I'm fairly certain it's inspired by.

Simple, just find the employee with the biggest shit-eating grin.

I don't like Disney, but I grew up reading the old original versions of fairy tales housewives told eachother that would give little kids nightmares or make them ask too many questions. Sleeping Beauty was raped by a married man, Snow White married a pedophile necrophiliac, the Little Mermaid commited suicide, Red Ridinghood was tricked into eating the flesh & drinking the blood of her grandmother, Pinocchio gets his father arrested & kills the cricket, Cinderella's stepsisters get their eyes pecked out by doves, the only woman in Robin Hood's life is the virgin Mary, etc.

Watch Lion King. Then you research on how lion prides in real life work. Simba and Nala are related.
