Well another week has gone by, and with Jump Fest last weekend, a lot of new stuff was revealed for Dissidia 2. A new and shiny trailer of jaw dropping porportions, Japanese and European release dates, and the reveal of FFX's Yuna joining the fight.
First off, the games release date for japan is March 3rd, and Europe's release date is March 25th, so North America is sitting somewhere in between those two dates no doubt. It's good to see a a near simultaneous release instead of waiting several months for a localized version.
The second big thing was the very brief reveal of Yuna from FFX. Now they didn't show much, and aside from those who were at the event, no one had any confirmation it was real aside from the mention of someone bare foot on water, and the sight of a purple dress hem with floral patterns.
So we get a summoner added to the roster, be interesting how she will fight but no doubt it will be every bit as awesome as all the other characters. She marks the 6th new character to the roster putting it at 28 fighters in total, BUT she ain't the last!!
Nomura said in an interview that there are still characters yet to be revealed that will be from the SNES games and up, so there are still 2-4 new characters left. There was also a rumor about Cid Reines from FF13 being in the game as the voice actors twitter said something of such but was taken down. Be cool having him in to balance out FF13.
Another cool thing is that Duodecim will also contain the first Dissidias story mode which will be adapted to make use of the new world map single player gameplay and will contain extra story elements to boot. Together, the two stories will be roughly 40+ hours....thats a big fucking game. The chess boards from the first game return, but they are different this time around, and they will only be used from dungeons.
And of course, a jaw dropingly awesome new trailer was shown that revealed the summoner herself along with some epic game play of various fights, and the world map in action.

So...thoughts? Who else might join the roster? excited?
Yuna isn't a character I'm too excited about, but I can see why they put her in. Be neat to see how she works.
