Distant Cries: An adventure RP.
Hello you lot! This is my latest RP, loosely based on the events of Far Cry 2. As usual, because I always need a fall guy, Samuel will be Co-GMing with me on this one. Hope you folks like it.
Opening Plot:
In present time, all society remains the same. People squabble over their own problems, moan about their luxuries and protest against meaningless subjects. However, far from any public or media view, war has broken out across Africa. Two factions fight for the right to control the land, using everything they have at their disposal.
The war was nothing but a joke to America and Europe, spectating over it like some kind of sport. However, a recent set of arms were imported into the country for both sides. What was once a gimmick is now a problem of national priority. Highly trained mercenaries have been sent in from across the world, all without any knowledge of the others entrance into the country.
All the mercs have one goal; To kill the two faction leaders and get out alive. However, not all is as simple as it seems. Each seperate merc may have more than just the mission at hand to complete, possibly changing the face of Africa across the world in the progress.
Rules:
This RP should be relatively free, allowing you make up your own sideplots if you want to. However, it is slightly story driven. As such, we'll have to certain events to further the storline.
Your human. If your shot, it's going to freaking hurt. Also, if your shot in the head, your going to die. Don't worry though, the only way your going to get injured is if you write it in yourself.
Try to be as creative as you can with your character. For instance, we don't want all of our characters to be all one nationality. There are no boundries. You character could come from the South Pole if you want them oo that much.
Notes:
Like the game, each character can have a respected "Buddy" if they choose. The buddy in question must be a player character. You'll have to arrange that yourselves, but you may want to wait until all the characters meet each other.
Buddies are responsible for bailing their buddy out of danger if they're injured. Of course, you don't have to actually respond to a buddy if they're injured. That is completely your choice.

However, due to the calm era Europe has entered, Robin has been largely out of work. So, noticing Robin's paycheck being passed through each week for no known work, MI6 assigned him to the unwinding crisis in Africa.

Short description: Raoul had a decent upbringing. He comes from an avarage family, with an avarage edjucation and an everything but avarage wish. He left home as soon as he turned eighteen to join the militairy. After two years of prepping, he was sent to war. He did well, but his problems with authority got him court-martiald and a honorable discharge.
With a release-sum of twenty-thousand, he was 'persuaded' by the Dutch secret services, the AIVD, for certain spec-ops. His knack of stealth and ruthless nature gave him the edge needed to survive in his line of work. After eleven years of service, he was offered a choice. Work until not operable anymore, or take one last mission and leave with a nice sum of money. He took the latter option, and got very few specifics. Two factions in Africa were on the verge of war, and his mission was to kill two of the main suits in the area. Armed with his standard gear he got dropped into the middle of the squabble
