Searchbar approved (I think, but I'm not exactly good with that stuff.)

So, as the title suggests, where was the dividing part in your life? Where you did something to make your life go great, or horrible?

Where you get the choice to lead a brilliant existance, or to scrounge in the dirt?

I haven't had one massive one, as I'm still only a teenager, but I was curious as to whether people thought they had one.

For example, deciding to take a job, and meeting your future-wife there.

When I finally discovered what the meaning is that I have in my life. I was depressed and hated the world before then, but now that I have an actual goal in my life I'm seeing the world much better and I haven't felt that horrid, hollow feeling in my chest ever since. It was definitly a turning point in my life.

There's no way for this to not sound overly-dramatic, but my turning point was my mother's death. Though I could write about that experience for days on end, it can be summed up like this: her death taught me to actively participate in my life; to not just wait for the big things to occur, but to make them occur.

Even in death, that woman keeps on teaching me.

Something I did last month has made my presence kind of awkward in some social circles now days.
Care to elaborate?
Actually, I'm not going to elaborate to some stranger from the internet.

If you really do care enough, it was serious enough to get police attention.
Sorry for intruding then o_O

At some point I picked up a controller and played Super Mario World.

From then on, I was a gamer.

Sigh. The number of times I've told this story now, it just fits in every thread about relationships or life so well..

Oh well. Basically, girl who I had been friends with for years and I trusted and liked a lot led me on as a fall back in case her secret guy wasn't as good as he seemed. Then threw it all back in my face the moment he turned out to be good. She moved in with him within a month.

That moment kicked a "Fuck the world" switch in my brain. I used to care what people thought of me, now if they don't like it they can just get out of my life. It's a liberating feeling, realising that nothing matters and people can go fuck themselves if they don't like you. I would suggest everyone try it at least once, although I don't recommend the events before it.

When I got over that whole teenage phase of life everyone goes through at some point. Everything is always 100% better when you get over that. lol

The best part of my life so far was when I left my mother's house to live full time with my dad. It isn't a perfect situation, but a hell of a lot better than it was.

Mine was 'getting over' my Depression. I don't exactly have a pin-pointed moment, or a date or anything, but when I started being happy was when my life changed completely.

And it couldn't be better.
