So as the title so obviously pointed out, this thread is asking about what is, in my opinions (as a noobs) a good makeup I think are various types of German divisions/wings/fleets.

Again, this is not going so much on stat wise as it is on what I feel would be a good composition IRL.

Standard Infantry: 2 Mechanised, 1 engineer, i armoured car, 1 rocket/self propelled artilarry (havent really decided, would chose propelled but the 'sceaming mimies' are so German. I am also going on the assumption that fuel rich countries will be easy pickings...)

Paratroopers: 3 Paratroopers (to fit on one transport plane)

Marines: 4 Marines, 1 engineer ( I forget how much mariens weigh, so I think I can fit one marines div of this make on one transport boat)

Armour: 1 Heavy Armour, 2 Armour, 1 infantry, 1 engineer (People say that heavy armor is impracticable. The same people make a satisfying squelching sound under Tiger tank treads. Anyway, the commander has to ride in style and protection)

Marines' Landing Transport: 3 transports = 3 marines divs of the makeup above (I think), 2 destroyers for escort.

Paratroopers Wings: 3 for 3 divs of paratroopers to be dropped off at one. What I think is the most you can have at one without penalty in battle.

Garrison: For putting down revolts (Looking at you POLAND!!!) 3 Garrison brigs usually work fine.

Air Wings: a general 2:1 ratio of strat. bombers to interceptors. Not sure why I should use any other type of airplane other than those specifically for carriers. On that note...

Carrier Groups: Please advise, I am about to get them in my game.

Battle Fleet(Grand): Go crazy on this one. I plan on making this fleet in the late game just to show my power, making a super fleet headed by a super battleship. Only planning on having one of these...

Battle Fleet(Standard): A non-silly, standard fleet for fleet-on-fleet maneuvers. Planing on all of them having at least one Battleship as a flagship. See: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.ph...ualsAsskicking

Patrol Fleets: For matters that are to minor for battle fleets.

Wolfpacks: Submarine squadrons. Not really sure what they can do besides raiding convoys, speaking of which...

Convoys/Escorts: Not really sure how these work, in all honesty, nor how I can tell how many I need to build. Please Advise.

Garrison: For putting down revolts (Looking at you POLAND!!!) 3 Garrison brigs usually work fine.

Side-note on specialized infantry: I do not plan on ever using them (Jungle fighters, winter fighters, mountain fighter, etc) as they are far to specialized in my opinion and will become useless quickly, unless I can afterwards convert them back into standard infantry or a different type altogether. However, I am still very new to the game so I would like your advise.

And I think thats it really. Fell free to rip it apart or add whole new types of divisions of your own. A fun aspect of the game, this division customization.
