DND 4th edition? online?

i remember some time ago i saw that you could play dnd 4th edition online? can someone explain this? what exactly do i need to play?

Aside from any programs, all you would really need are the source books, dice, a DM... just like any other D&D session... it could be done online via message board, as long as everyone trusted each other with dice rolls.

I've done it before in the past.

I'm pretty sure we just got a dice roll system on these boards. Very recent though, not sure if its just in groups.

A friend of mine made a dos prompt dice program, but it honestly doesn't give the same feel as feeling the tactile sensation of 2d8 in your hand.


And yeah, NWN plays by all the D&D rules, but it's still not playing D&D ver 4 online.
