I found someone selling a 20 gig HD for $20, the price is definitely right. Do I have any concern of it breaking down, or is it the part that's least likely to break?

Unless you inflict violence upon it there is a very low chance of it failing. Compared to say, a computer, the 360 accesses the HD relatively scarcely. See? Be nice to me I know schtuffs.

I've never heard of any noteworthy HDD issues, in fact Microsoft themselves were selling 20 gigs for $20 at one point. It's cheap because it's just not a lot of space, not because it's of low quality.

I've never had any problems with my hard drive and you probably won't regardless of how many idiots will tell you how theirs was broken because of something unrelated to anything they did.

Never had a problem with my drive. Been using the same 120gb drive for 3 years, no issues at all.

nope. I've never heard of a hard drive related xbox issues. 20GB hard drives are just dirt cheap because a lot of people have since purchased bigger ones, or they bought a warranty from gamestop back in the day when an xbox would break every week (they would give you whatever xbox model you bought but all you needed to give them was the broken xbox and a controller, meaning you got a hard drive and Ethernet cable every time it broke.)

No never, I've had problems with disc reading sometimes but never the HDD; In fact I've been useing the same one for years. Sounds like you got a good deal there.
