I was reading through Critical Miss and came up with the infamous "do a barrel roll" quote from Starfox. I tried googling the phrase and lo, turns out the screen will flip around if you write that in the searchbar. I had no idea. It's been around for a couple of years, apparently. Any other Google Easter Eggs I should know about?

PS - If you type the Konami Code in The Escapist (UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT on the arrow keys, B, A, ENTER), dogs appear. I knew this from before.

I read a thread the other day (sorry can't remember who posted it) who pointed out that if you search 'atari breakout' into google images you can play a mini game.

Try searching 'Find chuck norris' and click I'm feeling lucky.

EDIT: Also, searching the OP got this!

Well, I discovered rather recently that if you go into google images and search for "atari breakout", the whole image result turns into that old atari game.
Get ready to say bye to the rest of your day.

-Edit-
Blast it! Ninjaed by a second!

This may be the greatest thing ever. Or at least today.

Now I'll wonder if they're always behind there... just waiting to be let loose again.

If you go onto Google Maps and set up the directions so that you're travelling (via walking) from wherever and set the destination as Mordor, it tells you that one does not simply walk into Mordor.

Other than that, I got nothing.

EDIT: I just tried it and couldn't get it to work, but it used to work.... seriously, look for images of it.

I just want to thank you for the Konami Code, that was awesome.

Unfourtunatly i can't use all those google eastern eggs, since when i type something in the search bar, it automatically shows the results.

You have to type "The Shire" as the starting location, and "Mordor" as the final destination. I just tried it and it works fine.

Really? I tried it and all I got was directions from New Jersey to Fairmount Park in Philadelphia.
I know I drove past there last night, but I guess I was too stressed about the traffic to notice Mt. Doom.

I have another one to add, if you type in "the answer to life, the universe, and everything" into Google Search, google calculator will spit out the answer "42". I hope most of you understand the reference ;)

You got it, it's in the little yellow box on the right. Kinda anticlimactic, huh?

If you google recursion, the page will say Did you mean recursion?

I was also going to link the glorious 8-bit easter egg for google maps, but it appears that this no longer works so I'll include an image :(

Ever try googling 'recursion'? Not as impressive sure, but funny none the less.

Type "atari breakout" into google images, ta-da! You're playin' classic Breakout.

Somebody got there before me. Harumph.

Try "Google Pacman game" click the first result. Click your new Pac-Man title, you're playing Pac-Man!

When I typed in the Shire to Mordor, it had me go from Wisconsin to Michigan. With the little yellow box too

I also just tried the Konami Code on Google Reader. Do it without the ENTER and a ninja will pop out :p
