The D&D animated cartoon and Dragonlance references don't count?

These aren't really dragon questions (in regard to actual dragons and mythology and such), it's about games... but I guess this is a game website.

I only knew one of the answers but got 70% - I'll take that as a complement to my nerd-dom that I instinctively know my dragons.

40% isn't too bad for only knowing a handful of the answers.

Honestly, I'm just happy that there was a question about Spyro, and more importantly, that it was about him when he was still awesome!

Bahamut isn't even really supposed to be a dragon, mythologically speaking. We'd probably see some more interesting things in fantasy games if people didn't keep making changes like that.
Yeah, Pegasus breathed fire and Medusa = a Gorgon and a Cockatrice = a Basilisk, etc etc. don't even get started on Manticores and Hippogriffs, there hasn't been a correct one in videogames since forever.

But by now these fantasy tropes have come to have a life of their own. It's like complaining about Starcraft and Warcraft being ripped off from Warhammer. Sure its true (and if you say they're not you need your head examined), but after fifteen years of development those fictional universes have as much right to exist as any other. Just like Greyhawk and the Forgotten Realms sprang from Tolkien's world but have since become almost as detailed as their ancestor (aside from the language thing, that was just obsessive).

I wonder when Bahamut first became the Dragon God/King, bet it predates DnD by a couple of centuries. The Victorians muddled a lot of the old myths up pretty good.

Weird how the Sphinx never got messed up really.

60% on first try.

Not like there's some way to have a 'proper' universally-accepted quiz on fictional creatures that have been interpreted a million different ways since forever.

I thought this quiz would be about dragons, not things just containing dragons and non-related trivia.

30% first try, 50% second, 90% third, 100% fourth.

Yeah, lots of guessing. I only knew 3 of these.
