I've heard various things about MW2's NVGS (say that five times fast, yer bastards) - that they pick up infrared light (making them World-War II-era) or that they simply project an image onto your eyes with the gamma increased and a green tinge added.

What I want is hard facts on these badboys, and I want them now.

Well they are nothing like "real" nvgs which are 2k for gen 3 (unless you really shop) I imagine it just picks up infrared light that it projects.

Does it really matter? I mean for $200 Australian who can complain.

Well, let's look at the price. In the UK it's £120. The game is £55, so after subtracting that we're left with £65. Take away another £10 for the art book, download code and plastic head, and you're left with a £55 pair of goggles. I would stake my life on a good pair of NVG's costing slightly more than £55.

They'll probably work, but not for anything more than 'lights off in the bedroom' sort of thing.

My uncle bought real working nightvision goggles for about 2000$ and even those are an older version. Those nightvision goggles are probably good for watching squirrels at the park at night or using it in you room with your lights off but thats it
