once it happened while i was on it trying to shoot down the apache, some noob jumps in and drivesit into the enemy base while i'm yelling "what the FUCK are you doing!?!"
I know your pain!

I once saw the AA complete with AA gunner drive towards the enemy base and completely ignore the Apache that was in a low hover no more than 30 feet away.

Being rubbish because you're new to the game is one thing, but being useless because you're an idiot is another. Countless times on BF2142 I've been sitting lobbing mortars at the enemy in an APC (F2 position gunner seat) when some idiot jumps in the drivers seat. Then decides to sit there while the enemy commander drops an Orbital Strike (Artillery) on the APC.

Well done dickhead, you've just lost an important asset and caused us to lose our right flank.

I hate the majority of noobs on GTA IV. There is a co-op mission called Hangman's Noose, and the general idea is to get 2 people in the baggage handler, and leave the other 2 to defend the plane (with a guy in it who comes out after 20 kills or so), whilst the 2 in the baggage handler go and get a helicopter. This hardly ever works. Instead, nobody gets in the baggage handler and they all kill the NOOSE people for the money they drop instead, and then take a NOOSE truck, grab the guy from the plane and take him to the drop off. It takes about 10 minutes, as opposed to 2/3 minutes in a helicopter. It isn't even noobiness, it's just plain stupidity. The first time I played the game mode I thought "Oh, a baggage handler. I'll go drive to the helicopters", and someone jumped in the handler with me, and it worked. I don't know if there has been some huge memory loss since the games release, but nobody does that any more.

There is absolutely no point to this thread.
Mein Gott! Your contribution has changed my life! CHANGED IT!

OT - I live in a perpetual state of "getting it", but never quite being able to put it into practice. This is mainly because I rarely get games when they come out, so if I go online I'm surrounded by people who expect me to already know what to do and who won't help the "noob" because "he sucks, so what's the point?"

So I guess arseholes piss me off, but at least they drive me to help new players, because I never want to become enough of a prick to use the word "noob" unironically.

I play gears of war 2 online with 4 or 5 other people so in that game i tend to avoid playing with noobs. But in a game like Rainbow 6 vages 2 where i dont have a team i tend to find myself with at least 1 noob. And yea it does annoy me but in the end i should never meet them again. So i dont dwell.

I think it depends as we were all noobs once i think if they are trying there hardest then i can cope with that. Its when they try and go out of there way to annoy that gets me and i dont have the time of day for them.
I think noob tends to be use a bit to much these days even heared people call someone a noob for killing them i mean if there a noob what does that make you ?

FFFFFUUUU-
i don't usually let it bother me, but then it happens in a really hard fought game where every asset is needed...
one time the noob recognised his mistake and brought it back, no harm. but the last time the guy was like "i'm taking the objective durr"
when he got blown up i responded with "no, you just took away our air cover. congrats" /dies by apache

12 year olds?

They help my K/D ratio! But I usually atleast try to give them some pointers whenever I can, if they ask what tp press to throw a grenade in BF BC2 sure I'll tell them as I didn't find that out until I reached lv 10 :/
Who couldv'e guessed it was F anyway? I was just mashing at random

Not really. Just like what Unreal Tournament III says every so often - "Practice sportsmanship. Remember you were a noob once too."

I'm bad at helping newbies, because I feel like dumbing down so they can learn defects my own skill, but may give them a helping hand that they lean on and get upset if they don't have. But playing them at a higher level usually leads them to getting frustrated and giving up

Honestly, the best way to learn I've found is just go for it. Even now, I learn by playing, and trying out what others have done. I have my own code of ethics that I'm afraid to give up to learn something that works for someone else, but that's me. Being new just means they got in later or they're younger, they need to learn the same way we did, by playing and playing and playing
