Really? Who mentions that? It's pretty obvious that they have a facial structure exactly like a humans with the exception of glowing eyes. I guess I'll just go along and repeat what I said my my previous post. Giving the facial structure is exactly like a humans, the structure of the body shouldn't be any different.
Reminds me of the SNL sketch where Christopher Walken interviews a Centaur for a job, and he asks a hypothetical question about whether or not he'd do a female from behind whether or not he was sure it was a horse or Centaur, and when the guy finally says "Yes, I would", Walken replies: "It was a horse."

It pops up repeatedly. It's the reason why Turian/Quarian food is toxic to humans, asari, salariancs and vice versa. Quarians and Turians are 'dextro-protein' species while humans, asari etc. are 'levo-protein' species. No idea what that means on a biological level though.
When you found the Marine leader, he was shot, and it punctured the suit. He was saved thanks to a shit load of antibiotics and medicine. Now stuff like this can't be cheap, and is probably only available to improtant people. All he got was a minor infection, and he was still put out for a week.
If a marine commander, a quarian in the prime of his life, and who was saved solely by a shit load of antibiotics, was put out of commision for a week by a minor infection, there is no way Tali should be able to take her suit off in the Normandy.
Don't get me wrong, I love Tali and her personality, but being able to have sex with her just seems forced into the game because fans cried for it.
Actually, Tali took several antibiotics and herbal supplements to bolster her immune system before visiting Shepard. After she had sex with him she still got sick (as detailed by Tali when Shep speaks to her after the suicide mission).
The fact that she did not die can be attributed to the herbs and the antibiotics she took.

In the game it was mentioned that Quarians have similar DNA to turians. So there's that.

Anyway, the whole romance with her was just forced into the game. Quarians shouldn't even be able to take of their suits, the only places the can do that is in specalized sterile ships in the migrant fleet, and even then only long enough to have sex to reproduce.

Much of this is explained by Tali and other tidbits throughout. Tali was actually the most important person on that mission, she had access to the medical bay and a Salarian super geneticist (who also advises Shepherd on ways to avoid infecting her in a hilarious cutscene. Apparently oral stimulation should be kept to a minimum. I swear I'm not joking.) She also spent a week researching, was loaded up on antibiotics and herbal supplements and went into it aware that it could kill her and not really caring.
Wait a second, Tali takes her mask off? Damn, I know I didn't get as many chances to talk to her as I should have in my only playthrough so far, but I didn't know that. Is that the farthest you get with her? I hope so, or that would be complete bullshit.
It's already bull, there's no way she should have been able to take her mask off in the Normandy and survive. Or so I've been led to believe anyway.
They semi-retcon'd the Quarian condition. It was implied that them getting sick in ME1 would likely kill them, but in ME2 it generally just seems to be a bad allergic reaction which can be suppressed by immuno-boosters and various other high tech future medicine shizz.

I know, but all through Mass Effect 1 it was built up that the Quarians can't remove their suits. Even in the Migrant Fleet they have to keep their suits on.
And the Marine Commander said he was "swimming in antibiotics" and was put out for a week because of a small opening in his suit caused by a gunshot. The mission he and Tali were on were deep in Geth space, and considered highly important, so they probably gave everyone extra medicine for something like this.

And I just don't see how 1 Quarian who is in peak physical condition can get put out for a week because of a small infection while Tali can just take "lots of antibiotics and other things" and take off her entire suit and still live.
It just feels tacked on due to fan request.
And would this Salarian Super geneticist be Mordin? Because if so I don't remember this... sounds hilarious, granted he is a funny person.
Personally I don't care what she looks like. You know a love interest is good when you can like them for their personality alone.
Though I am clinging to the hope that she is hot. As you can somewhat see through the mask the face is roughly human-like, so as long as it doesn't have a freaked up texture or any ridiculously weird features it should be good enough for fans.
Edit: Forgot to mention that Quarians are known to have roughly similar features to humans excluding the Dextro-protein part. It's mentioned in the Mass Effect: Ascension book.
Pretty sure I posted that picture first =_= Peoples be stealing my funnies.
We know that they have basic humanoid features (two eyes, nose, mouth), that they're reportedly 'slightly less squishy' than Asari or Humans, and that their eyes appear to glow - similar to cats perhaps. I've heard a bit of talk that Quarians might have scales, though I forget if that was backed up or not.
I believe they won't show her face, leaving us in perpetual wonder. I've seen some fanart which depicts her as basically a Space Night Elf. I don't buy it personally, though she probably is hot.
Glad I'm not the only one who thinks the Tali romance is ridiculous. I mean at one point in the game tali says "A single kiss could put me in the hospital".
And yet she can remove her entire suit to have sex and still be fit for combat less than a day afterwards. It's so painfully obvious that the Tali romance was a last minute addition.
And this is why I find the Tali romance to be disturbing. You guys don't even know what she looks like. Look at her face and compare it to other Quarians. You'll notice that they are all nearly identical. The mask hides a ton of her facial details, so she could very easily look far different from what you guys imagine.

Now I haven;t read that book, but I believe Orannis once said some things about on the Escapist prior to the release of Mass Effect 2. He said that the book claimed that Quarians didn't really need their suits anymore, and that they mostly wore them out of a cultural thing.
Well within the first hour of Mass Effect 2 this is proved to be false. So either Orannis got his facts mixed up or that book and the games have contradicting facts. If the latter is true, then I'm not inclined to believe anything it says about Quarians.
Just shows the implied shape of tits through clothes is all nerds really need to find somebody attractive.
Weird thing I've noticed (read: studied)... with every ME sex scene the lady person is always on top... Methinks developers be sneaking their desires in, after all, it does require less effort.
