No, puppets do not creep me out. I don't really see why they should.

I like puppets. I think it's interesting how skilled puppeteers can infuse so much life and personality into what is essentially a collection of cloth fibers and dowels.

Not really, although the Spitting Image Thatcher is rather worrying.

Yes! I hated those things the school counselors would do in elementary school where they'd bring out their weird sock puppets. Just freaked me right the hell out.

Worse than that are animations -- with a puppet, you can at least see what's making it move... [small]but those cold dead eyes just turned right at me, all on their own.[/small]

You mean something like this?
It's just so funny and weird that I'm laughing my ass off! (Even better on shrooms.)

Puppets don't, but scarecrows do.

Oh, clown puppets will also freak me out. Anything clown related freaks me out...

OT: No I am not afraid of puppets. I haven't encountered enough to really be creeped out or scared by them.

Only the puppets that really resemble humans. God they're creepy. But yeah, most puppets are fine by me. Anything that looks too human but isn't terrifies me though. And clowns. For some reason. I can't stand dolls either. All the toys that scare me have their eyes pulled out. >.> Maybe it's the inanimate, expressionless glassy eyes that scare me.
