There are a lot of niche titles, but I suppose they're niche because they're weird. Didn't stop Katamari from rolling out more sequels, though.

I'm gonna go with my main medulla Psychonauts, cuz you get to destroy a city of Lungfish, ride around in a meat carnival, and help a milkman accomplish his greatest dream.

Well there's everything Suda51 does. Though he's getting more and more complacent with every new game he makes.
I'm not sure who has a leash on that man, or if he's just attempting to go with this-or-that when creating a game. I wasn't a fan of Killer is Dead on dull gameplay alone, but I respect him experimenting with different play styles. Personally, I think the "perfect" games to come out so far were Killer 7, NMH and Shadows of the Damned (which demands a sequel).

No, no we do not.

I miss games that were not only WEIRD, but FUN.
Now it seems to be mostly 'crappy game play is okay, because...DERP WE SO WEYRD!'

Remember R.O.D. for the PS2?
Weird mecha game, but fun.
Sure, you had to READ THE MANUAL to get the controls right, but once you got them down...fucking fantastic game.

God Hand.
Funny little goofball, and FUN as hell.

As for movies, go watch "Basic", as in right NOW!

Games, not sure about weird, as in weird weird... but if you dig a bit deeper the Pokemon games are crazy as hell!

I adore Saints Row the Third as a weird game. It was the perfect game for me to just come home from my internship, kick back and just have a good laugh. Saints Row 4 got a little too weird for me with the whole simulation aspect but, for me, SR3 was perfect.

Child of Eden is definitely up there. For fun times, try to describe to someone what you do in an average CoE level without sounding like you're on any of a number of hallucinogens. As far as mainstream titles go, I think Sunset Overdrive is the closest we're gonna get for a while to the unashamedly offbeat tone of things like Jet Set Radio.

I am happy to announce that I have indeed seen what you did there.

OT: I suppose we do? But only because there are just far too many games coming out than one person alone was ever able to play. You may want to try Dys4ia or the ever-excellent I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream.

Let us not forget "Cryostasis-The Sleep of Reason". It has some innovative game mechanics and sometimes the way in which they are implemented can make them seem quite weird. Same goes for the enemies and the general imagery which get weirder towards the end of the game. In particular their was one strange person, apparently consisting of locks and keys, which was used to advance towards a new location. A frozen earth wrapped in barbed wire floating in the air inexplicably and never mentioned again nor explained in any way. The rotor of a helicopter consisting of three people, while bodies floated upwards through the rotor.... Need I say more?!?

"The Cat Lady" is not really about being weird, but it had some rather surreal scenes. But mostly horrifying, bleak, depressive.

I think nobody has yet mentioned the Zeno Clash-games. Especially the second one. I especially liked the colourful day-night-cycle and the fact that it was different on most of the maps.

Maybe I will think of some more games, but for now that's all.

I don't think Metal Gear is a mindfuck within the context of it's own world.

Outside of that you start putting words together like 'Electro-Russian' and 'Interrogation specialist Lee Van Cleef' and it does sort of go a bit strange.

Hotline Miami gets very trippy inbetween murder sprees. This is helped a lot by the slightly creepy retro graphics and the excellent soundtrack.
Funnily enough, Hotline Miami was the first game that sprang to mind when I read the OP, and I must agree, the soundtrack is brilliant, especially the tracks by MOON.

I suppose Deadly premonition could be considered to have a couple of trippy moments, especially when you have a protagonist as peculiar and eccentric as Francis York Morgan, the fact that it was largely inspired by Twin Peaks definitely doesn't hurt either.

There is also Short piece: Ranko Tsukigime's Longest day, which I purchased yesterday and has Suda51's mark all over it, I had to stop playing it after a while though as the graphics hurt my eyes and gave me a migraine, and while it is definitely out of the ordinary, I feel that it is strange for strangeness's sake, if you get my meaning.

How can you mention mind-fuckery movies, and fail to mention Memento?? It's the greatest mind-fuckery movie of all time!

Anyway, games...

I'd probably say Spec Ops: The Line.
Oh! and also Far Cry 3. That definitely had some mind-fuckery moments in it.

Yes, I do wish there were more games like this.
I thought Memento, but I didn't want to make my list too long XD
People have covered most of the games I thought of, but since I'm feeling a bit geometrical, on the movie front how could you fail to mention Cube or Triangle?

Saya no Uta, it's a visual novel, but holy shit it's weird.

The Void was also pretty damn weird. That whole restore colour to the world plot.

Vigil: Blood Bitterness was also pretty odd.

Sadly these are the only ones I remember.
I'd love to see more though.

I'm a big fan of mind-fuckingly weird movies. Things like: Eyes Wide Shut, Gone Girl, Blue Velvet, Videodrome, Fight Club, 8mm, and Mulholland Drive. Now, you could argue that most games have some weird shit in them and I'd tend to agree, but how often do we get truly bizarre, thought provoking and provocative games; games that are so out there, yet have something profound to say about humanity hidden beneath all the crazy shit?

I am really not sure what the video game equivalent to this would be; perhaps Metal Gear Solid fits the bill? Katamari is weird, sure, but I don't think there's any underlying point to the weirdness.

What do you guys think? Do we have this in video games? Would you like more of it?

Also, what's your favorite weird-as-shit game?
I do like weird segments in games more so then weird games because it provides context and rips the drug right under you. but then again i wouldn't say any game is weird because they follow a sense of internal logic... expect song of saya... that shit is weird

Mother series has some weird as shit moments. And my some, I mean basically the entirety of Mother 2 and Mother 3 had me going "Whhaaaaaat?" So weird and interesting in a good way.

There are also 2 free games that are really weird that you should play.

Crypt Worlds: weird as shit, low poly adventure game that's scary, hilarious, and most of intriguing. There's also some creepy social commentary as well.

OFF is a game that takes inspiration from the Mother series, as in take the weirdness of the games multiplied by 10.

pretty sure i've got one of the weirdest mindfuck movies you are ever likely to see without venturing into 70's era LSD trip territory.

Detention

the trailer makes it look like a cheap breakfast club knockoff with a tonal shift to a scream rip off but what is really happening involves body switching, the end of the world and mother fucking intergalactic time traveling bears!
