Do you believe in ghosts?

Spirits, ghosts, and other supernatural phenomena happen all over the world at all times. Or do they?

Fellow escapists, I ask you: Do you believe in the supernatural?

Sort of. While I have yet to find absolute proof they exist, a lot of pretty freaky schizz happens that are as of yet unexplained by science.

I'm the sort of person who has to see something to believe it. That said however, I am not close minded to the idea of their existence, same as UFOs.

Yes. I don't necessarily believe in the traditional view that ghosts are spectral forms or that they can interact with the world or be seen, but I do believe in something like ghosts.

I believe people have souls, and therefore I believe in an afterlife of some kind. If there is an afterlife, then there is a possibility that the circumstances surrounding some deaths may be such that they could lead to a person's spirit being unable to ascend fully to that afterlife. Such a restless spirit could very well have some kind of influence over the material world.

Personally I think the only influence that a 'ghost' would have would be over the psychology of the living things it may interact with. So you hear about people doing crazy shit in supposedly haunted areas, or seeing things, or hearing things, etc. I don't believe those things exist in a verifiable way, but the people who experience them will swear on their life that it was real.

I would like to hope that there are things in the world that we still do not know and still have not experienced. I would therefore not dismiss the belief or the field of study.

But personally I would need to see something.

mmm i do, ive seen things that im not sure i ever want to see again. As a martial artist we train to be able to sense a person before we can necessarily see them, the point being that you need to be alert to stay your stupid ass alive, but this also means that we can sense all energy around us, so ive been places where i could feel very BAD energy. Theres a cave near where i used to live, its been sealed off now, but people used to go exploring in there and all that, until they started disappearing, i believe something like 8 people never came back from it, and theres an extremely dark sense near the cave now, something evil in it. Creeps the living fuck outta me.

Aliens have to exist, there is NO WAY in this giant, fucking universe that we are THE ONLY planet that has life on it, its just not possible.

Absolutely not. Ghosts, spirits and associated phenomena are related to the human fear of dying. If there are ghosts, there is therefore a soul and an afterlife, and that placates people. Considering the impressive lack of evidence, there is no reason to think they exist.

I don't believe in unsubstantiated supernatural phenomenon such as ghosts, souls, monsters etc. It's all fiction. It's crazy and unreasonable to do so if you're the logic type.

I believe in unexplained paranormal phenomena. Note 'unexplained', it doesn't mean displaced souls, it just means it isn't explained yet.
