My keyring.

It just happened over time really.

A little fob here, a spare key that no longer had use there but I never got around to taking it off.
A few video game freebies on it, like the starcraft bit of metal that has 'starcraft' engraved on it (collectors edition of the first game), the usb stick/dog tag from the second collectors edition (comes with sc and broodwar preloaded).
Miscellaneous tat.
A beloved pets tag.
More advertisement keyring fobs.

In the end it was a foot long, was constantly pulling the right side of my trousers down and was heavy enough to stun a badger.

Eventually downsized it, but the new more streamlined one is already starting to grow.

Depends, how normal is it to collect the souls of your enemies?

Actually, I'm not much of a collector. I have a small collection of knives, but I don't have the money to finance my collection the way I'd like to

I used to collect an assortment of knives.

Pocket knives, combat knives and knives meant for decoration.

One of my favorites in the collection is a Kukri.
Pretty nice looking knife, i've not got anything like that the closest would be somthing like this.

Springs. Anytime I see a pen on the ground or some abandoned electronic/mechanical piece I always take them apart for the springs. Not sure why, but I have a fairly massive collection of springs in storage.

I also collect guns, knives, and older video games, but those aren't odd in the slightest.
Certinaly unusual, i can see the appeal of colleting mechanical things.

Transformer Figures for me....

Quickly running out of room though xD
I have a few transformers aswell, some old ones from my childhood and a few i bought in recent years, the best one is my 20th anniversary optimus prime from the 1987 movie.

Hotel cards and token cards from the MtG. The first (Which is probably the oddest) because they always have such interesting designs, particularly between different hotels. The second because I really, really like how they look (most of the time).

Some of my personal favorites.
I could see myself putting somthing like that inside a photo frame and mounting it to the wall.

I've a few keyrings aswell, one is particular is pretty interesting shaped like a shark, im not sure what the metal is made from but it is very light and strong, i use it to open bottles with.

That's a shame, i'd imagine a collection of souls would make an excellent conversation peice. Oh you meant the finances for a knife collection, well the same logic applies. "look at these knives... this one is for extracting sou-erm apple cores... yes that's it grab the handle."

I collect touristy crap.

As in, whenever I travel, I try to find the most unique and tacky crap of the local treasure I can find. So I have a wooden model of the Great Wall, a painting of the Llourve, a small plastic statue of the Statue of Liberty, a small miniature of Stonehenge, and so on.

Only rule is I must have seen it in person, and buy it from the local area, and it must be different than anything else I've gotten. So not two wooden models, for example.

Relatively common, ever since Demon Souls.

I don't collect anything because everything I want to collect takes money and storage. I want to collect concept art books (physical copies, digital just isn't the same) but that isn't weird. The weirdest thing I have the urge to collect is decorative boxes/chests.

Well, the weirdest thing I collect is movie tickets. I don't know if it's really weird though.
I do the exact same thing... There's something about seeing a movie ticket stub trying to abbreviate a movie's title that just makes me want to keep them in my wooden box I got from a woodshop seminar at my [formal] local Home Depot...

OT: Outside of ticket stubs, I collect pencils that I find off the ground... I clean them, make sure they're properly sharpened, and give them all a nice home in my bag of pencils... Now that I think about it, I should probably get a bigger bad since I've already went pasted 800+ some time ago...

Other than that, I don't think collecting porn revolving around something you're not fully into counts as "odd" in the same vain as the stubs and pencils I got nothing... especially since I don't consider my collection of movie ticket stubs or pencils to be "odd" in the slightest and one of those said collections lead to the writing of a sermon I did for my church... Also, I collect my grandmother's old casino club cards and parody-themed shirts, but I digress...

I collect some odd stuff. Cutesy frilly dresses that basically most people wouldn't be caught dead wearing in public... Lots of them are satin, or PVC. I also collect Gundam Model kits and their accessory packs, I've recently got into making customs. The only other thing I can think of is that I collect video games that usually I have no intention of actually playing, a lot of too many games, not enough time, lost interest. Strangely I'll play the really bad ones just to see how awful they really are.

I too collect swords and armor, everything from antique carved ivory katanas to Xena's Chakram.

I also have sort of a gaming museum in my house with everything from a Magnavox Odyssey to a turbo Grafx 16, I have many odd and old games and systems as well as old and rare board games.

Light sculptures, metal sculptures.. particularly fond of led and gas sculptures like this:

Small motors and switches..

Lego and custom minifigures.
Automaton
Dragonflies and Squids jewelry and trinket boxes.
Tiny Ninjas
Devil horns

So if swords count than I've got two sword bayonets, one scabbarded one loose, and an old English Cavalry sabre and scabbard of the sort seen in Napoleonic war movies. Also a Smith and Wesson Revolver, and a Mossburg Shotgun. I personally consider none of those weird. As for the odd for a grown man stuff I have a rather extensive collection of book published by Grosset and Dunlap. Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, Tom Swift, Tom Swift Jr, and a few each from the less well known young detectives. I've also begun buying collections of the original Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Dick Tracey Comics. I also have a fair number of hand and power tools. Sadly this last set seems to make me quite the eccentric among 30's American men these days.

I used to collect Airsoft guns. I'd never use them, just collected them. Something about them fascinated me. They were way cheaper than real guns, and I didn't need a license to own them. I've amassed this collection of BB's in numerous different containers that I never use. Sometimes I just like picking one up and messing with it.

The more detailed the better. I've had airsoft guns that were so convincingly close to the actual gun it was modeled after it was impressive. They even had the weight right. It's useless, but it was neat.

Eventually I got rid of most of them, as they were just taking up space and I knew people that would use them a lot more than I ever would. My brother was too terrified of getting shot by them, even wearing protective gear, and there weren't very many "safe" places to use them around where I live.

To clarify, I mean using plastic BBs with my brother, not the heavier metal ones. I know they both still hurt like hell and even the plastic ones could potentially leave a nasty mark, but I've had wounds way worse through the use of metal BB's than plastic.

I collect assorted weapons while I can, when I can. Swords, knives, assorted martial arts stuff.

I collect female action figures mostly (mostly because they're stupid rare to find in person for normal retail price), but I get a few male figures when it suits me.

I also collect padlocks, perfume, Balinese masks, bottle caps, rope, teeth and lighters

Man this was difficult to photograph, maybe i need to start collecting one proper camera

I have been collecting a single set of vintage green oak leaf compote glassware. Every town I have lived in has had one glass from the set, and I have nearly 8 of the 12, and the finger bowl from it. Eventually I figure I will gather the full set, however I refuse to simply buy the rest off line... I have found each and every glass in alley markets, pawn shops, and houses.. I plan to stumble into the rest of the set the same way.
