Do you Dream about Games?

Not sure if this should go in Off-Topic or Gaming discussion, but I'm sure it can be moved if it needs to be.

As quite an avid gamer, I occasionally have games invade my dreams. Sometimes these dreams are an accurate representation of the games, more often they are an amalgamation of various sources. A couple of examples:
- I recently dreamt I was a TF2 Spy. But for somereason, this game was taking place in a supermarket. I was going round backstabbing everyone until I got arrested by someone who I think was from a different game. I forget who.
- I only recently joined Battlefield Heroes. The night after I joined, I dreamt about being inside the game, which was playing like a combination of Battlefield Heroes and Team Fortress. (I seem to remember sniping a Heavy in Nazi gear).

I'm not mad. Honest.

So I ask fellow Escapists: Have games ever featured in your dreams? Were they accurate, or twisted? Do you have any idea why they featured?

DISCLAIMER: Please don't start psychoanalysing me. I'm not mad, I just game a lot. And you are not Freud.

Sometimes. I have no control over my dreams so its not my fault if they make me out to be a nerd :<

yeah, I only daydream about games.
but even then not very often, I have more important things to daydream about.

I cannot ever remember a time when I dreamed about a game.
except 1 time about a game I wasn't to play until 2 years later. and it was exactly as I dreamed it.

Once in a while I might, but they aren't very detailed in that whole "can't count your own fingers" kind of way that dreams have about them. I tend to dream about the scenarios that are often featured in games (particularly survival horror) most of which now have a home in my game design notebook.

Yep. On occasion, I have dreams either in which I am IN the game, as the main character, or sometimes I dream I am just PLAYING the game. The other night I had a dream about Demigod. I've never played Demigod, but I had just read an article in PCG about how the staff played against the game's makers at GPG. Last night, even though I haven't played L4D in a while, I had a zombie dream.

I've also had at least one BioShock themed dream.

I sometimes dream that I'm parkour-ing in the city from Mirror's Edge. Saying that it's a little fun is an understatement. In real life I have no skills, but in the dream I zoom by the buildings just like in the game.

Unfortunately, no, I don't dream about games.

I would love to have a Bioshock-themed dream though.

I play World of Warcraft, and I play it..uh...enough.

More than once I've dreamed of running dailies, in boringly accurate detail.

It often happens when I OD on a game (which usually happens with my latest purchase/rental). I had a War of the Monsters one where I found stumbled into a secret arena midfight.

I had another one after playing Metroid Prime 2. I don't remember the dream itself, but it was apparently very vivid. When I woke up, I started spinning around the room, pointing my arm at things and trying to switch to the scan visor, convinced I was in a room full of things trying to kill me that I just couldn't see yet. It was actually kind of terrifying at that moment but it's funny in retrospect.

A Monstrosity by the name of:
Peter Jackson's King Kong Official Game Of The Movie

But it wasn't the game in general that I dreamed about, it was the damn level that I dreamed of in perfect clarity that I got stuck on.
And I dreamed of getting stuck on that level at that exact place :|

(Normally good with this language but Dream/Dreamed/Drempt/Dreamt always gets me annoyed.)

I had a fallout 3 dream once that was genuinely scary. It was before the war happened and I was trying to get everyone into a vault but failed, when the bombs went off everything went white for a couple of seconds then I woke up.

Many times. Most of my dreams are kinda wierd, like last night I dreamt I was in the Capital Wasteland in a crysis nanosuit holding a ultima keyblade in one hand and a frying pan in the other, fighting off TF2 spies which had the face of Captain Price.
And then there was a swarm of Sephiroths that attacked an army of Big Daddies from Bioshock while the USS Enterprise fought with the alien spaceships from the Mothership Zeta DLC.

yeah, if you looked into my mind, you'd probably go insane.

I had a dream which was vaguely to do with the Matrix but also featured Monkey Balls and a Pokemon battle (in which I had a Pokemon which knew "Guard" twice)
at which point I was abruptly woken up.
So, not memorably but I do have gaming-influenced dreams every so often.
