OBVIOUSLY NOT

GRAFIX MAK DA GAM'

...

Seriously, this question is like "do you breathe?" to me.

I don't see how old games magically become bad or stale, and I don't see any reason why you WOULDN'T play them again - System Shock 2 and Fallout 2 for example.

Also, I love how half the things listed in this thread aren't even old to me...

But old RTSs and old tactical strategies have the most staying power for me. Old FPS games are still there, but most of them have been outclassed by something else. Like Duke Nukem 3D doesn't really have a replacement, but Quake 4 is basically Quake 2 with better graphics...So there's not much reason to play Quake 2 through again.

I go through all my SNES games just because they're still that much fun.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors
Secret of Mana
A Link to the Past
Mega Man X
etc

if i still had my game boy, i'd be all over my old pokemon silver.

My PSX, PS2 and Xbox are still in use. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to relive some of the glory days of gaming.

Well, my old N64 is gone, but if it wasn't, I'd probably still be playing the old Zelda:OOT and MM over and over like I used to. The last N64 game I played was the original Super Smash Brothers. The other day I found my old Pokemon Red as well. :D So yes, I do. I also ply on GameCube games on the Wii, but only got an X-Box (not too impressed with the Wii to be honest) this generation so all the games are fairly recent.

I've started to collect a lot of last gen. games and some of them are shocking in their execution. Gameplay is shoddy or physics are floaty.I've completed many of them before, yet find them all but unplayable now.

I still play the first three Pokemon games, Halo 1, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Resident Evil 4, Mario Kart DS, New Super Mario Bros., and some more I can't think of at the moment.

Mega man 5. That's right NES still lives. Another great game that is still fun is Legend of Dragoon on the original playstation. I have yet to see a turn base combat system that is as involved as that.

Do you think so? I am addicted to FlatOut 2 but found the first one a bit too floaty. Maybe that was just the first level. It being dirt track..?

I go back to Deus Ex every year or so.

I'm currently just about to start playing Comanche 3 again. Sweet.

I actually primarily play older games, because they have a better plot and more of a story behind them. Some newer games, like Fallout 3, CoD4, Oblivion etc., are excellent, even if new, but they just can't beat the games from back when it was the story and not the graphics that made a game awesome. The "Monkey Island" series, especially the first two games, are prime examples of this, and are games I never tire of.

Edit: I notice that many of you are mentioning games like Oblivion and the likes of it as old games. Is anything released before 2006 an old game? Has the definition of old changed? Am I getting old? Honestly though, that's just like 3 years ago. But I guess it's a matter of semantics and how "old" is defined. But please specify.

I just find Flatout 2 to be too arcade, come on rally cars and tuned slamming and burning and everything .D
