I went to a Star Trek convention with my old man years ago. It was a very traumatic experience as i was i nmy teens and while i was there i could almost feel my virginity being surgically/spiritually attached to my body. I swear that if i stayed there any longer than i did or i went to another one i would have become one of those overweight bespectacled uniform wearers who masterbates too much. I want to, but the idea of nerds more hardcore than myself intimidates me a little.

But my sister went to Wizardcon in Philly and paid Peter Mayhew $20 to sign her illegal copy of the Star Wars Christmas Special. He didn't say anything to her, but she said he looked annoyed until she told him "I have money."

I don't know if it's true. But it sounds like something she'd do to a celebrity.

I once saw people walking into a building for what I believe was an anime convention and wanted to claw my eyes out due to all the gross fatties in unflattering outfits.

On the other hand, Comicon was alright.

I go to Archon in St. Louis(my home) and Webcomics Weekend in MA. Well i went to the first one recently and I fully intend to return every year. It's great fun, and it's cool to hang out with party nerds!

I went to DragonCon once...actually one of the last years Robert Jordan was there before he passed. Definitely glad I went when I did, but I don't feel any overwhelming urge to go to another one.

Never been to one. Wouldn't mind checking out something like PAX or Comicon if by some fluke I come into a large sum of money or am in that area of America at the same time as the event is being held. Otherwise I can't really see myself going to any conventions ever.

Went to the comicon here in Toronto once. Was cool to see all the memorabilia and shit but some of the cosplay creeped the fuck out of me. Probably going to go again.

We dont get conventions in Scotland to my knowledge, I would pay good money to see how long consplayers last in Glasgow city though, hah.
