I know the title may be misleading, but i have this thing where, wherever i hear a sentence i try too group the words into threes. For example; Frankly my dear i don't give a damn.

after i hear it, i'd say it in my head as "Frankly my dear--- i don't give-- a damn.

If it's too short i add words, or too long i take away punctuation..

Anyone else do this, or am i just weird?

Yes. It leads to me using far too many commas when I type because that's how it sounds in my head, with those pauses.

That... strikes me as a bit odd. I've never done that myself; closest thing I've ever come to doing that is when I do my William Shatner impression and that's just because it's how one is expected to sound.

I think you're overanalyzing sentences in your mind, just listen and respond for me :<

No, I've never done nor heard of anyone doing that until now. It's always nice to know there are some language quirks I don't have.

I group words from comma to comma... because when I read out loud, I read lightning fast. I read the way that I think the author intends to write, and I think it also helps my own writing to read like that. I will think about it in my head and write them the way I want people to read them. It's hard to explain unless I'm actually saying it out loud...
