Do you have a "frenemy?"

No doubt, you've encountered at least one in your lifetime for a decent amount of you. Maybe, anyways.

A "frenemy" is a friend, but also an enemy. You butt heads, you argue, you fight, etc. and many times, you don't actually get along but you still consider yourselves to be "friends."
Now, this might be more common with girls than guys but I'm not sure. So I'm asking anyways.

I've had one since about the 7th grade (12th grade now) and it seems that we piss each other off more than we actually enjoy each others' company. We argue over petty things and it seems that we purposely try to annoy the other person just to see what kind of buttons we can push. It wasn't as bad when we first met but as we've gotten older, it's definitely gotten worse. I can't remember now the last time we were together for any time span over an hour that we didn't piss each other off at least once. xD And yet, I still consider her one of my friends...somehow.

So, do any of you have a friend that you don't quite get along with but consider them a friend still, for whatever reason?

This guy I met a long time ago in a restaurant. I come to the restaurant to eat some food but the waitress was busy with a problem. A chick who worked there was being bothered by some jerks so I was taking care of them. As I'm kicking their asses this cool looking dude comes in and starts to leave because he didn't want to start anything. Well it turns out these jerks were too much for me and the cool dude started saving my ass. This pissed me off so I was fighting him, but he was so damn good! We couldn't land a hit on each other, shit he was beast. Well one thing led to another and the restaurant got burned down. We get in a lot of shit me and the cool guy, and we are taken by the cops. They decide to put us in jail for life but the chick comes and tries to break us out. Of course the dumb bitched failed and got herself in trouble, but me and the dude escaped partly thanks to the girl. Now I see this guy every day and we want to kill each other but the girl won't let us because she wants up to help her find the Samurai who smells of Sunflowers.

It ended when I moved away and I couldn't be happier

I get along with him fine, and he seems decent enough, but I tend to avoid him for reasons. He is both a friend of sorts and an Enemy of sorts, loosely filling the requirements to be a Frenemy

Not really no. I've got people I have a love-hate relationship with, I've got "friends" I can't really share anything with and I've got "friends" I can share anything with, but nothing that really fits in the category of 'frenemy'.

Yeah, I used to hang out with this absolute douche of a human being. This was the type of person who had to be having fun at the expense of someone else. The problem was that we were pretty damn funny when we'd hang out, and we had similar senses of humor, so we would play off of each other pretty flawlessly. It was actually pretty tough to write this one off, but I finally had to.

I get along with one of them just fine, we often through in a fight/bet/argument here and there, for the hell of it.

Now the other one,he is the exact opposite of me. Not physically, but in everything else. He is dumber, listens to rap and stuff on the radio, plays sports better than I do, and is more outgoing then I am. Me, I am smarter, listens to music that is actually good, I am not very good at sports other than soccer, and a more quieter guy. This causes us to get in a shitload of arguments. We still goof off at times though. Funny thing is people think we look alike.

yeah this one guy who now is a total drop out of school use to be a friend but he was also a douche bag ever since i met him. He had a huge anger problem and i put up with him for years. Finally last year, me; my brother; and our friends shunned him from the group because of his stupid and sometimes violent behavior.

It would be awesome, But we dont drink very often, So we dont really have "American pie guy" moments.

One of my friends and I started our relationship out of pure hatred. After a few days of glowering at each other across the classroom, we started playing pranks on each other.
