This thread depresses me based on the fact that just yesterday, the girl I am desperately in love with (also one of my best friends), told me that she likes someone else. When I know she used to have feelings for me, but for various reasons didn't want a relationship.
Oh god now you're making me depressed. Reminded me that the guy I like actually has a thing for my best friend. :'(
Wow can completely relate. Ain't it a *****? But at least I can say the guy she likes is not my best friend! Still it sucks, especially since I have such strong feelings for her, yet I'm stuck in the "friends zone"
Yep the "friends zone" isn't always the most comfortable place to be. Happens to the best of us I guess.

/chuckles

I love when girls use that line to put off a guy, its such BS, its just their way of saying "I only think of you as a friend, you aren't BF material"
Surprisingly this time it wasn't bs, she in fact had been fucked around by the last 2 guys she had been with an had since decided to stay away from relationships for a while. She isn't with this guy she likes (yet) for the same reason. Call me naive or whatever for thinking it, but she's like one of my best friends, so I know her more than well enough to know and understand this.

Still hurts though. And it fucking annoys me that she acts like she doesn't know it. Girls are cruel.

Nah. It seems that anytime I meet someone who interests me at work/martial arts training/whatever, they're only there for a short time, and then I don't see them there anymore after a week or two.

So yeah, there's a major shortage of women in my life... at least until I start college :)

Yupyup. Finally met someone who doesn't completely understand my Star Wars/food/tinkering obsessions but turns a blind eye and accepts it anyway.

2 years in July...
He lives about 1 hour and 45 minutes away. I'm 17 and he's 21, people said we wouldn't last.
Ha!

And we play games together online and at the weekend for about 6 hours straight.

That's nasty. I can' ttalk, I split up with my fella a few days before Valentine's but the way I looked at it, I wasn't going to go out and buy the dick anything and waste my money.
Haha, awesome reasoning. I can't stand Vday, too damn expensive.
Isn't it. And I would have looked bad letting him buy me something and then dumping him. Harsh.

No. I'm decent with words and know what to say most of the time, but when relationships are brought up i awkwardly stumble over my words
