I used to have a cat (gotten as a kitten) called Natasha (although no-one called her that), she died of old age a couple years ago. I was one of the few people who actually loved her unconditionally. She was deaf, blind, and loved mushrooms and egg.
Is that Talisman of Shannara?BloatedGuppy said:It really distresses me that such bad novels ended up in the frame, but whaddaya gonna do?
I checked out the links and there are some cute photos there, I'm sure Bandit would love to play with them (actually play not as in food). I saw a leach in one pic, do you walk them like dogs?trollnystan said:So many adorable pets! I want to pet all of them <3 (yes, even the gecko, so cute!)
I have two cats, litterbrothers who are now almost six-and-a-half years old. I adopted them when they were three from friends who could no longer keep them.

Mah two boys! Tuffen is the fat one, Spöket is the skinny one.
Here's a link to an imgur album I set up a while back. Not many new pictures but... [link]http://imgur.com/a/JGjVl[/link]
I'd love to have a pet from kitten/puppyhood but don't have the space, energy or time.
I've only been out with them once, last year. They're indoor cats, although when they lived with their previous owners they would be let outside during the summer when they were at their house in the country.RicoADF said:I checked out the links and there are some cute photos there, I'm sure Bandit would love to play with them (actually play not as in food). Yay for Leopard Geckos! They are the cutest reptiles I know. Our one is called Leppy - yes, my daughter is incredibly unimaginative when it comes to naming pets.Snotnarok said:I just got this lil' gal recently, about 3 months ago, within the last month finding out it's a girl.

Her name: Xarxxanagon and she's a shoulder mounted awesome Leopard Gecko. Never had a pet personally, family has had pets that I never directly took care of, so this is new, but fun.
You say that like it's a negative.Flatfrog said:Unfortunately as a Gecko owner you find yourself also having to look after large boxes of bugs as well.
That sounds a lot like one of ours. She's definitely not right in the head, and she starts to dribble when you stroke her. I do love the little freak, though. (Actually, these days she's mostly adopted my daughter as her special friend so we hardly see her, she spends most of her time on my daughter's bed)DanielBrown said:Got a ragdoll cat who helped me a lot during a time of depression I had. She can be pretty weird. Intimacy terrifies her(like panic attack for cats) but she starts purring and kneading nontheless.
When your cat knocks the box over and you've got a room full of roach-sized scuttling crickets, trust me, that's not a good start to your day.Lieju said:You say that like it's a negative.Flatfrog said:Unfortunately as a Gecko owner you find yourself also having to look after large boxes of bugs as well.
What species? One of those that make a horrid noise?Flatfrog said:When your cat knocks the box over and you've got a room full of roach-sized scuttling crickets, trust me, that's not a good start to your day.Lieju said:You say that like it's a negative.Flatfrog said:Unfortunately as a Gecko owner you find yourself also having to look after large boxes of bugs as well.
Well, I don't know about 'horrid' - I rather like the noise, it has a nice ambient rainforest feel. But then it's not my bedroomLieju said:What species? A friend of mine had one of them escape and then she had a noisy little bugger hiding in the apartment and making that chirping-noise for about a month.
Bad kitty, the first one was behaving good but 2nd one was a bad girl/boy. Well Bandit behaves so he should be goodtrollnystan said:I've only been out with them once, last year. I might take Spöket out again, but Tuffen... Not until I get a better harness for him. Here's a crap video I made on the occasion if you'd care to see: [link]https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10151144996728813&l=8714159092152634798[/link]
EDIT: got so caught up in making the link work I forgot to tell you your Bandit is so sweetlooking <3 Unfortunately I have no idea how my cats feel about dogs but I wouldn't bet on them wanting to play with him =(
Where do you keep them?Flatfrog said:Well, I don't know about 'horrid' - I rather like the noise, it has a nice ambient rainforest feel. But then it's not my bedroomLieju said:What species? The first time they escaped, we spent an entire afternoon hunting every last one down. The second time we made a desultory effort and then thought 'fuck it'. I suspect the cats ate them in the end.
Haha, well Tuffen rarely does what he's told and uses his size to get out of most things. He used to be a lot worse though. He was pretty scared when I took him outside so he panicked. I think with a better and stronger harness he'd at least be less likely to break free.RicoADF said:Bad kitty, the first one was behaving good but 2nd one was a bad girl/boy. They're in a tupperware box with air holes. Not exactly ideal but we needed something we could easily get into to take the poor buggers out, dust them with nutrients and feed them to the gecko. Always feels like something of an affront to their dignity!Lieju said:Where do you keep them?
I had kept different invertebrates for 20 years and have never had anything escape.
