Do you have a problem watching girly anime?

I actually prefer shoujo since ecchi so annoying at times and most of the time shoujo anime actually have a story that is interesting

i never really watched a girley anime before....i dont even watch that much anime....only things i watched where dragon ball z as a youngster, naruto in 2006, and recently the master of anime Elfen Lied....i don't know if elfen lied counts, its kinda a gender neutral anime.

I'd probably just end up daydreaming ways to murder every character in the anime.

Really, this isn't just me hating; romantic kinda movies and such just... make me uncomfortable. I can't sit through 'em. Ever.

I watched all of the Please Teacher and Please Twins series.

What on earth makes you think that the Please! series, which are filled with gratuitous fan service, can be considered "girly"? Please! Teacher in particularly is your fairly standard romantic wish fulfilment anime. It's quite sick really: an outrageously hot woman is forced to marry you because you know her terrible secret, and she also happens to be your school teacher. In addition, you're an adult in the body of a hormonal fifteen year old.

No, I have absolutely no problem with it. I don't watch it much anymore; I've been busy... but there is nothing wrong with "girly" anime. I prefer to read the manga... but -shrug-

Toradora was good and Taiga was lovable. No shame in watching it. And apparently, Lucky Star is for guys. So is my beloved Ichigo Mashimaro (fuggin <3). And only real men watch Card Captor Sakura.

So yeah, I can't really name too many girly anime series. Toradora and Kannagi are the closest that I actually enjoyed. I tried watching a really girly show, Ouran High, and immediately hated it. It was essentially the female equivalent to a harem, and I have enough trouble watching the regular kind without throwing my keyboard in rage.

Thanks to her my knee jerk reaction to severe high pitched noises is anger, and fire.

Think putting your loved ones through that is considered a form of abuse.

I'm the type of person who probably should, but when I take into consideration the love/hate thig I have going with Kaishaku (Kannazuki No Miko, Steel Angel Kurumi ect) I'm going to have to say no. I'm really just an angry person, but KnM is my favourite anime series, to my immense suprise.

It's a love hate thing largely because of Shattered Angels.

Not in the least. My favorite manga is still and might always be Fruits Basket, and I love several romance-focused stories (that may or may not be shoujo).

If by a problem you mean I am utterly bored/feel no need to watch them, then yes I guess I do, not that I went out of my way to find one I might like even just a bit. But then there is the matter of defining what is "girly". Either way, I didn't watch any anime in a long while be they girly or not. Nothing catches my eye any more without my obsessed friend who used to tell me which new series I might wanna look into.

Yes. ALL OF IT.

That's not girly anime, that's seinen (google that term). Although, yes it involves girls.

I quite like girly anime, though, since I can always relate more to the female anime characters anyway.
