I'm basically the same guy online and offline. If there's any difference, the online guy is a little more uninhibited and extreme than the offline guy, but it's the same views and actions, nonetheless.

I sound different then in real life because I don't feel uncomfortable talking that much on the internet but in RL in school kids are very misunderstanding of things so I don't talk often.

I don't bother with an online persona. Why be someone I'm not when there aren't any real social repercussions online?
My internet self is very close to my real self (careful he bites) but as I change personas faster than a spy in TF2 I am not sure what good that is. I become who I need to be to achieve my goal. This usually means getting a project done, playing a specific part, or fitting in (drawing no attention).
In real life I show you what I want you to see, online I act as I normally would in a friendly zone. Also I can't hit you online only in real life.
I do this subconsciously

Choose which persona will help me achieve my goal
Decide what the other people?s goals/desires are
Play to those desires
Walk away with them feeling like they got their goal thus happy (or that we at least tried) while I now have my objective complete.

Well, I'm slightly more open on the internet than elsewhere (That's the power of anonymity for you) but I'm still the same person online as offline.
No. I'm quite similar in real life, but then again, I don't know how people perceive me online. I'm a lot nicer online than I am in reality, and I'm less sarcastic as well. I'm more conscious of what others might think when they read what I say, because there's a lot that can be misunderstood. If anything, I'm more honest about myself online, because there's no point in hiding anything. I'm all for bullshitting people in real life, but going so far as to do it online as well just seems pointless. I'm not as afraid of being judged negatively on the internet as I am of being judged negatively in real life.
I try to be the same person, whether I'm online or not. It's just that when I'm online I'm better at it.
I'm pretty much the same, but online I break out of my shell more, and talk a lot, whereas in real life I'm quiet. But if you ask me what I'm like, what I like, I'll tell you straight out, I got nothing to hide or change into someone I'm not.

At different times, I've had more of an internet persona, but I've been off the forums for quite a while, until the last few days, so right now I'm basically no different from how I am in everyday life. About a year ago, it would have been another story.
