a little
identifying people by the music they listen to is not that bad, we also identify people based on their cloth and manner of speaking, it just bugs me when people are a walking cliche of a fan of certain kinds of music and all they do revolves around that.

Tons of them. I am prejudiced against everyone for everything, even if I don't want to be.

I don't like people who look down on people who have tons of sex. I mean, like, that's awesome why is that person suddenly worth less? I also dislike those who dislike teenage girls for being teenage girls. YES Twilight is pretty dumb. YES One Direction isn't really considered musical art. NO that doesn't mean all teenage girls are blithering idiots who are incapable of any valuable thought.

I also deplore people who believe that they 'earned' any modicum of control over another person. This goes for cops, forum moderators (except these ones of course y'all are fine don't hurt me), most men in movies, celebrities, the president, rich people, parents, literally anyone who has power through any means other than personally earning my respect.

Oh, and pure-white people who join in on race discussions, or cismen who join in on discussions about feminist issues.

And people who think rap music is dumb.

Okay I'm done now.
So basically you'd rather have cis-men and white people in the dark about race relations and gender stuff? This is how people don't learn stuff did you know that?

You misunderstand. They certainly can participate in discussion, but as listeners first, speakers second. Too many times has a discussion about women's rights or some tragedy in a foreign country been dominated by white men, who by their very nature, have almost nothing to do with the topic at hand. The discussion is for all, but the speakers need to be the people who are affected by the issue.

Trust a primary source (actual women) over a secondary source (men who are not women) any day.

I'm prejudiced about men speaking about women's issues, i.e. female sexism (yes, for God sakes, I know sexism against males exists. Enough with BUT WHAT ABOUTS THE MENS.

Stop talking like you know what it's like to be a woman, or pregnancy/menstrual pains aren't that bad. Stop telling women that the warped view of media and gaming about women isn't a problem. It's easy to say that when you're not the one being objectified.

I'm prejudiced against those who are opposed to abortion. Especially men. You're against a medical procedure you'll never have to go through? You'd rather force a woman to go through pregnancy, something you'll never have to go through? Ok. That's all I want to know.

/bring on the raging men.

I'll bite. Even if men had one issue of sexism- it would still be an issue. In a topic about inequality and etc, I would think it would be relevant to the discussion. Its the oppression olympics that people play in such discussions that are really a turn off to me. "Enough with BUT WHAT ABOUTS THE MENS." I feel embodies that mentality. "Men have so much they must be whining" is the vibe I feel from that comment. As if someone bringing up sexism against men (how ever small) for the umpteenth time detracts from the "real" issues....like sexism.

I agree with everything else you said pretty much. In addition to legal and government paid abortion, men should be allowed to give up their rights to parenthood if they choose to opt for an abortion but their spouse won't due to religious of personal reasons.

Yes, because we all know that the view of males in the media is just so perfect and ideal. Please. This argument can go both ways so easily.

Which reminds me: I CANNOT STAND women who play the "I'm just a girl" card when it's convenient for them and then the next second they turn into raging bitches. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE women. ALL my best friends are basically girls, I work with them and I'm the best guy friend a girl could have. But THEY'LL never know anything about the problems of being a male either.

I'm prejudiced against people who believe in the `Friend Zone` and `Fake Geek Girls`.

And also ladies who play the `I'm not like other girls they so catty/bitchy/etc` card. Not that I don't understand why they do it, but it makes me roll my eyes. You are, by definition, like other girls.

That's a good one, actually!
That always bugs me.
That and ragging on girls for no other reason other than the fact that they're good looking. Like, "oh she's pretty but I bet she is stupid/is a *****/has no personality", it's such a stupid assumption, being pretty does not automatically make you vapid.

Not that I've ever personally experienced it but a few people I know do it.

Yes. I am prejudiced against people who practice "Alternative" medicine. It is not a good thing, either, but I can't help it. I know that many intelligent people use alternative medicines, but as a Medical Student I have the tendency to jump to the conclusion that someone must be an absolute idiot if they use Alternative/Complimentary Medicine.

This is not a helpful attitude to have. Many patients take Alternative medicines. If I think they are all stupid for doing so, then I'm going to be spending a lot of my time thinking that many of my patients are idiots - and I know that to not be the case. The majority of the patients I have seen, as a student, have not been stupid. Ignorant? Yes, but we're all ignorant of something. I'm largely ignorant of foreign languages, japanese history and physics. I can't really hold it against people if they haven't spent hours learning about the histology of the liver and the biochemical mechanisms behind Alcoholic Steatohepatitis, because why WOULD most people spend time learning about that stuff? It doesn't interest them, and it's logical to not spend time learning about things you're not interested in.

So I get it - most people who take CAM (Complimentary/Alternative Medicine) are NOT stupid. They're ignorant, but everyone is ignorant about something. CAM users are human beings like you and me and deserve to be treated with respect regardless of their decisions.

But I still grind my teeth and think "STUPID! STUPID! STUPID!" every time I hear someone say "And these green crystals will help heal my arthritis, because of their natural energy!" or "I had this headache and then I started wearing this magnet head-band and three hours later my headache went away!".

It must be REALLY annoying to have your hard work shared with prayer and CAM. I had a teacher deny me access to a nurse because she could heal me if I would "open my heart to her inner eye".

- I hate intolerant people. Or close-minded. In my high school (it was an all-girls Catholic school) there were two teachers who everyone highly respected/admired. They we're really awesome, inspiring and strong women with a firm set of morals. I thought they were awesome. Everyone did. But now, I'm in college and I met a few alumnae who were a batch higher than me and a party. They told me about the rumors that these two teachers we're in a relationship and the younger one was living with the older one. (One was separated from her husband, not divorced cus divorce is still illegal here and the other I have no idea) The were very scandalized by the news, almost disgusted. I said something along these lines of "Well... They're still really good teachers and their personal lives shouldn't be our business." Their response: "So? They're supposed to be teaching us about morals!"

Now, I'd use that argument if I found out my teacher was a drug addict or an ex-criminal or a pornstar. I'd be pretty outraged by that. But... For me, they're just two women who we're lonely and fell in love. What's so bad about that? I get that this is a conservative country... But still. I guess by their morals it's scandalous but for me... I don't think their sexual orientation should matter. It's not like they're open about it. They don't announce that they're dating. In fact, they keep it secret (which I think is the right thing to do in cases like these) and since they don't broadcast it, we don't have the right to stick our noses in their business when what they do doesn't negatively impact us at all. They're still the teachers I idolized back in high school, and now I think I have even more respect for them. I never told anyone else (aside from this forum, which is anonymous) about this cus I'm afraid it might spread and angry parents will be asking for their resignation.

- But on the same note... I don't like cross dressing. Er... I had a conversation with a gay college friend of mine once. He told me how he hated other gays who cross-dress or act overly flamboyant. He says it's what gives them a bad name and gets them discriminated on. I agree. Heck, he doesn't even look gay. He looks more like a tomboyish girl. He dressed nicely. His clothes are pants, and sweaters, and sneakers and they're "soft" or somewhat girly but he doesn't buy clothes that are meant for girls. You get what I mean? In fact, one time he told me he'd never get a boyfriend even if he wanted to and I was like, why??? You should have the right to be happy with someone you love. He says his friends said its indecent. I just hope he finds the right guy one day. Haha, I remember he used to have a crush on my boyfriend actually. Well, honesty, I dunno about America where when I see depictions of gay guys in America they look alright no problem. But here, oh god, they dress like hookers. It's already disgusting when a women dresses like that, what more on men?

Dunno, I'm a firm believer of "lady in the streets, freak in the sheets" kinda thing. Do whatever you want in private but try to keep a conservative/decent imagine in public if you don't want to get judged/shamed. If some people are more open about it, alright. I guess in Western societies it's good to be very open. Good for you. But here/for me, there is still a concept of shame. And I think that's good too.

- Like someone here said, I hate cultures where women are treated no better than pieces of meat. Heck, that expands beyond women. when people are treated horribly because of their gender/race/religion/sexual orientation/whatever.

- But I also don't like it when people are SO "yay equality!" or are so Politically Correct its ridiculous. They can't even accept that maybe men and women are different! That women are better caregivers and men are better at math. I highly recommend the series of documentaries called "Brainwash" on youtube. Sometimes stereotypes have a semblance of truth in them. Certain gender roles aren't inherently bad, I think, it's how we treat people based on those gender roles. I feel like these people going "We're only different on the outside, inside we're the exact same!" are wrong. I honestly feel like people (feminists especially) push the whole we're the same/no biological component/Gender roles and patriarchy are to blame shtick think traditionally female roles are 'inferior' or 'bad' or 'useless' etc. I beg to differ! I think being a mom is one of the toughest and most rewarding jobs ever. I'd much rather see my kid or husband become a CEO than be a CEO myself. It's taken for granted so much. I feel like these women would rather become men or something. What's so bad about being a woman? :/

Differences should be good. So we're different, ok. We should learn how to accept each other and not treat someone poorly because they are not the same. This is what equality is, not making everyone out to be the same because its simply not true.

- Men who demand a perfect, beautiful woman when he himself looks like an ape. WTF?

I personally don't like any person that fits into a stereo type perfectly. Such as an overly loud black person, extremely smart asians etc.
I also cannot stand people who exclusively eat organic foods for non-medical purposes, and over protective parents, as well as parents who don't watch their kids. Also I honestly don't like gay people. Now I have met people in each of these categories that I like, I just tend to not like the majority of them. I am going to explain myself, mainly focusing on gays, because I realize that on this forum the majority of you are pro-gay. I have met many people who are gay that I like quite a bit. I simply don't like the fact that they are gay. I am not religious, and cannot think of anyway to justify or describe my prejudice other than they make me uncomfortable.
Now I'm asking you, do you have any prejudices, and if so, what are they?
Thank you for your time.
Is it the fact that gay people are attracted to the same sex that bothers you or the ones that act like the stereotypical, rainbow-ey, flamboyant, "pretty", talking with a lisp, high-pitched voice, obnoxious-acting people?
Sorry for the ridiculously late response.
I don't like that they are attracted to the same sex. I can get along with them. To be honest, the over flamboyant ones I can't stand. I'm uncomfortable with them just being gay, but like I said, I don't let it interfere with the opportunity to meet a potentially great person.

Is the thought of gay sex just gross to you?

I don't like easily angered people.
People that can't be satisfied with what they got when they really don't have it that bad.
People that can't be satisfied with anyone around them because they think they're better.
People that find everything boring because they have no imagination.
Pessimistic fucks that are pessimistic for the sake of talking shit about everything because deep down they enjoy to.
People that judge you on a whim because they think they know everything.
Dudesbros that still refer to all women as "bitches" especially when they think its cute.(being a teen in the 90s...8/10 guys were like that)
White knighting nerds that hate their own gender and pedestal women as being near perfect.
Dudesbros that will flock to a pretty girl and shower her with attention till she gets sick of it.
Women that think all men are sexed crazed douchbags.
People that can't laugh at themselves.
Anally retentive internet nerds that like to wage IQ wars with other anally retentive internet nerds to prove who's superior.
Miserable people that want to bring everyone else down with them.

and

People that think their opinion should be LAW!

i guess you wont like me because I am one of those...lol

But yeah, I have many prejudices.
I especially feel more so these days ever since a 3rd generation Korean Japanese girl joined out team at work.
I find that when she is outspoken or opinionated I cant help but think "maybe it is because she is korean".
I have been on the other end where people say "You are too opinionated because you dont have an Japanese upbringing" so I guess it is karma and we just have to learn to accept our differences.
