Do you hold grudges?

Do you tend to hold a grudge if someone has wronged you? Or do you try to sort it out? Or just let it go?

What about holding grudges against people for something they did to someone else?

I had a business disagreement with someone a few years ago (wont get into details, suffice to say she cost me a great deal of time and money through lies and stealing), and I currently have someone holding a grudge against me, when she didn't know either of us at the time.

Convoluted childish rubbish to say the least (I'm not claiming complete innocence, but I am certainly not to blame)

I would hold grudges, but I tend to forget them, or just let them go.
Not worth keeping anger/whatever bottled up like that for a future date.
However, I do hold grudges against those that do something nasty to those I love/care about.
I care about them more than myself, so it makes sense for those grudges to last longer.

Unfortunately, yes.

I'm a vengeful **** but hardly can ever bring myself to do anything.
I've "finished" a confrontation a few times but only when it means physical harm to myself or to another.

I'll remember things for forever, but rarely do anything unless it caused some form of physical pain.

So not only am I vengeful, I'm a pussy >.>

I'm more of a try to hold a grudge, but lets it go after a couple of days sort of person.

I only hold one grudge and that one grudge is in use, so aside from that one, no, not really.

I pretty much a hypocrite when it comes to grudges. I tend to say to let live and forgot (forgiveness) however I still hold grudges towards my ex friends from High School. Granted I had never once seen them after High School but if I were unlucky enough to see them again and can't avoid meeting them then I will be in foul mood against them.

I feel that way now too, but if I did see them I'd probably be more happy than anything else. The overwhelming goodness takes over /bulls**t lol

I usually let it go, but I always know the relationship is changed forever.

nope. I'm Mr. Forgiveness. If someone makes even the slightest effort to make reparations for any kind of wrongdoing, I'll forgive them.

No not really, I'm not that easily offended. I try not to be a doormat though.

It depends what happened. I'm pretty forgiving in general but if there is a betrayal of trust or someone attempts to force a choice of friendship (like telling someone you won't be friends with them if they are friends with someone else, that shit doesn't fly with me) then I don't forget or forgive, ever.

I describe myself as a spitefull basterd as it is sooo... yea I keep the grudges that are worth keeping. You make me mad or it's an honest mistake I can forgive. You hurt me and I'll hold a grudge. You hurt an innocent and well...... Lets just say I'm enlisting in the Marines with the intention of becoming a Force Recon sniper and then a MARSOC (Marine Special Opperations Command) operator. I decided this on 9/11/2001... I was 11 and I will never forget when I heard the news. They (the terrorists, not ALL Muslims, before that becomes an issue) killed innocent civilians and I intend to ask them nicely not to do that any more.

It is a strange thing though... most everyone they ask to stop shooting at them ends up found dead. Cause.... overdose of lead. CAUTION known to cause birth defects in the State of California or death pretty much everywhere else......

I got really serious there for a min so I tried to end in a joke. Sorry if I offended anyone, but imma still ask them nicely to stop.

Depends on the situation.

I tend to have a "mental Rolodex" when it comes to certain things that irk me. Sometimes I will let go of an issue, for the most part, other times I'll react/hold a grudge.

Nah.

It takes hell of a lot to make me angry, and then I just let it go after five minutes. No grudges.

This. If I really feel I have been wronged, I actually try to fuel my rage just because the one who wronged me deserves it. Note. does not apply to friends.

I don't hold grudges against people who do things to me, but if someone messes with my siblings I either (sometimes) hold a grudge to end all grudges or (usually) end up in a fistfight.

most of the time no. It has to depend on what kind of an ass you portray yourself as. If you are an exceedingly abrasive and annoying person, then yes i will hold a grudge. But if you are a normal human with human flaws, than no.

Depends how serious I dont really have an grudges right now and it would have to be pretty serious for me to keep a grudge

how ever if I am really pissed off it takes a while to get over it

my mother can get on my nerves

Like one time I was making pancakes...she felt she needed to help me so she gave me a recipe

well in the recipe it had butter, but because it was an old book it was actually to grease the pan but mabye only skimmed the recipe so I addded the butter in

well......

she then went on a light hearted rant pointing out that because I was so incapable of following a recipe that I was obviously usless at getting a job and basically functioning as a human being..it pissed me off soo much I let her make the pancakes

I know she didnt mean anyhtign by it but it really hurt my feelings

and then another time I was at home and I was not doing anythign with my life, I work up early how ever because We would be needed out in the farm anyway we werent called up untill 2 in the afternoon

I then made the comment "I could have slept in untill 12:00"

welll.....

then she went on a rant basically saying "WHEN YOU HAVE A JOB YOU CANT SLEEP IN UNTILL 12:00 DO YOU UNDERSTAND?" ohhhh fuck! it was just a comment

somtimes I get the feeling she thinks I am completley unaware of the world around me
