My bottle tends to have "REFRIGERATE AFTER OPENING" printed on the label. It's not restaurant ketchup, which I assume has a different formula, so I follow the prescribed directions.
Restaurant ketchup is mathmatically diffrent, so is the food, the drinks, the people, and most importantly, the numbers on the check. This is the concept that drives the bistro-matic.

Anyways to the OP yeah i keep the ketchup in my fridge and i put it on a lot of stuff, like mashed potatoes, and breaded chicken as well as regular chicken.

It really isn't. The Heinz (any other brand is blasphemy) website says that ketchup doesn't have to be refrigerated and won't spoil because of how acidic it is. They say it might change colors after something like 6 months, maybe.

Oddly enough this is a repeat thread. The other thread came to the conclusions that ketchup need not be refrigerated and the suggestion is there to make it seem less processed. Also mayo doesn't have to be refrigerated. Personally, I refrigerate both.

yeah, it's SUPPOSED to be in the fridge. What? I ENJOY my ketchup cold damnit!

Fun story, I once ate too much ketchup and it gave me a rash at my feet... strange, huh?

I hate ketchup so I'll use mustard as my example.

If it don't say refrigerate, keep it on the shelf. I don't need my sandwich to be chilled. Most of my condiments can be found on the shelf.

[sub][sub]I f*cking hate ketchup...[/sub][/sub]

No. My ketchup lives in the cupboard. Wait, is cupbiard the right word? Pantry? Damn, it escapes my mind at the moment. Please pretend that I am using the correct word.
Cupboard if its like a... lets go with wall shelf with a door in the kitchen. Pantry if its a food place you walk into.
Cupboard it is, then.

I do, and this is the first I've ever heard of someone not refrigerating it.

I do the same with mustard, relish, mayo, etc.

Fridge'd ketchup tastes weird. I keep my ketchup on the table for quick access, thank you very much.
