Do you know any internet celebrities?

So does anybody on the escapist know an internet celebrity in real life? It doesn't need to be huge. I don't expect anybody to personally know fata1ity or anything, but even somebody whose picture made it onto failblog or something.

Personally, I know the guy in this fml [http://www.fmylife.com/love/4516165]. Now, before you judge him too harshly, you should know that when he did ask her for break up sex, she said yes. So, she's not all that innocent. However, I will concede the point that he is indeed a douchebag.

No, I wouldn't want to either. I hate the very concept of "celebrities".

That said, I don't even really know of any net celebs either.

My college roommate this year is a kid with over 20k subscribers on youtube, I didn't know that when I met him last year. Weird stuff

An internet celebrity isn't really a celebrity. It's like winning the 100m against some people with no legs.

I used to have quite a following when I played WoW; I did a lot of videos and such that would get thousands of views. It would get creepy when I would get a call from a friend saying, "Hey, I just told my coworker who you were and...he uh...wants to talk to you." Then a 5 minute gushing session would follow from some guy that I don't even know.

Also, I have a few friends that have some notoriety on Nintendorks and Something Awful.

I know a few people who're the kind of MySpace scene kid "internet famous" sorta people.
Not my usual kind of crowd but I just met them randomly at gigs of metal bands they like to tell people they love & ended up becoming kind of friends with them.

A few of my mates are quite famous on deviant art. I have a cousin who's done some online work as part an art protect that she's done talks on around the world.
