I liked Shadow the Hedgehog on the GCN. I also liked Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg. I also like Dead or Alive Xtreme 2, but not for the gameplay. Definitely not for the gameplay. Lastly, I love Mirror's Edge. Oh man do I love Mirror's Edge. And Onechanbara Bikini Samurai Squad. The story and translations kind of suck, but the gameplay is quite entertaining.

Last but not least, Goldeneye: Rogue Agent. I don't know why it got so much negative feedback. Maybe because it had the name "Goldeneye" in it and Nintendo 64 nostalgics didn't enjoy it as much as they remembered enjoying the original? That's quite possible. But I've played both games and I found Rogue Agent much more entertaining. And nobody can match up to my skill in this game.

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. I've heard too many people complain about the game. It's not actually that bad. I really enjoyed it actually.

I like Bioshock 2 better than the original.

other than that not really. Brutal legend was seen as average in my eyes. Also, both Kane and Lynch games are no where near as bad as people say. Especially 2. Worst game of the year? Not by a long shot.

Color me insane, but when I was a kid I actually kinda enjoyed Superman 64. Just the ability to fly wherever I wanted was entertainment enough for me.

Final Fantasy 13 is the obvious one, here. I simply liked it, I don't care what the haters think, overall.

Oh, and Bioshock 2. I preferred playing a Big Daddy over a standard human protagonist and taking down all those splicers with focused freeze/drill arm tactics.

It's anything but. Easily some of the most well thought out mechanics I've ever seen, which all fit together and compliment each other so nicely. I've had a thousand times more fun in stage battles than any other RTS, PC or otherwise, and it just irks me when people say that they don't work or that the game should have stayed hack-n-slash, because it's only bad tutorials that stopped a lot of people back from realizing how insanely addictively fun the battles are once you get the hang of them.
Guilty Gear 2 was very similar in mechanics, and also reviled. It seems to most people mixing RTS with brawling is distasteful. You might enjoy that one as well, I haven't played either but I thought I'd give you a heads upo.

As for this thread, I liked me some Too Human. People said it was too repetitive and that the graphics were ugly. They also expected a lot more from a game that was in development for 10 years. These were honest criticisms. But to then act like there wasn't something worth playing under there was going too far, and was too easy to do. The story was pretty good and a lot of the art direction like stage design was fantastic. Also some good voice actors like Crispin Freeman were involved, the music was fantastic and the game was pretty cinematic. Also Freya was a babe. Perhaps there wasn't enough game there for 60 dollars, but for the ten dollars I payed I was quite happy with it.

Edit: I found me an IGN review that I'm happy to say was pretty even handed.

I Love me some Call of duty. Love number 4 and black ops. But as soon as you mention it on here you get flamed for liking "overated FPS's"

Mirror's edge. I really liked it and found it quite intuitive once you get the hang of it. Some stages are prone to bouts of frustration, but by and large, I found it to be one of my favourites.

Well, I liked all of the games mentioned so far that I've played... (especially tired of people hating on JRPGs)

I also liked Fable, Epic Mickey, love the Assassin's Creed games, Bayonetta, Tales of Monkey Island, The Metal Gear Series (4, 2, and Twin Snakes get a lot of hate), Devil May Cry 4, and Super Paper Mario.

I also want to mention Alpha Protocol again because apparently people didn't understand how to play it, it's an RPG not a shooter guys.

Far Cry 2

Yes, it has its flaws and is rather repetitive, but I'd be damned if I tried to say I haven't had a hell of a lot of fun playing that game.

I enjoyed StarFox Adventures, heck, I even finished it like 3 or 4 times.

Metroid Other M. Yes, Samus is a whiney *****, but the game is still fun and it has great graphics.

I liked Epic Mickey when I rented it, I know it has a terrible camera system and the review of The Escapist focuses quite a lot on the reviewer's incompetence using the Wiimote more than reviewing the game itself.

I loved Aliens vs. Predator 2010 (PC), I know is quite hated on consoles, but I find the PC version quite decent and the multiplayer is a lot of fun.

Resident Evil 5. I still think 4 is better, but I liked 5 for moving the (batshit crazy) story forward and because it was quite fun.

I liked Final Fantasy VIII a lot more than Final Fantasy VII.

Metal Gear 2, I finished it like 6 times. I also liked The Twin Snakes a lot more than the original version.

Fallout 3 & New Vegas. I actually had a lot more fun with those than with the original games. And yes, I finished both FO 1 & 2. There, I said it.

Final Fantasy 13. People hate on it way too much; it was one of my favorite Final Fantasy's really...
Ninjaed... ten hours ago. Ah well.

Yeah, I thought FF 13 was quite good. I wouldn't call it my favorite (that's FF 7) but it's in my top 3 (FF 7, 10, 13). The gameplay was fun (not great, but fun) and it had some of the best character development in the series.

Seriously, I HATED Hope for the first half of the game. And then... he grew as a person. He became someone I respected and liked. Every boring trope character transformed over the course of that game into someone I cared about. I have never felt that much for a cast of characters - Heavy Rain didn't even come close to the relationship I formed with the cast of FF 13 (and I liked Heavy Rain).

I honestly don't understand the hate.
