It's a really strange word I guess, I can't describe myself as liking someone for a really long time, male or female.

I enjoy my friends company, my colleagues are tolerable and nice, my family is just family.
I find good looking women attractive.

But using the word 'like' for a person I interact with? Nope

I respect and tolerate people until given a reason not to.

Liking someone, on the other hand, generally takes a while.

I 'like' friends and family enough to be willing to die to save them.
I suppose that is more fanatical devotion, but who gives a damn, I like them enough to die for them.
And I can't/don't 'like' anyone for sexual reasons, because I am nonsexual... I just have a void inside me...

I hate humanity as a whole.

Individual people I don't mind.
But get most people in a group of more than two and they generally tend to piss me off. It's like all of a sudden they have an audience and they start acting like a bunch of jerks and morons.

I prefer talking to people one on one if they can carry a normal conversation without being a pretentious twat.

As a general rule I don't like anyone from the outright. They kind of have to prove that they can be liked.

I don't like or hate people until they prove themselves likable or hate-able. My default position is to tolerate everyone until they show themselves to be pricks.

And if you come out of the blue and treat me like shit, as far as I'm concerned, you're an animal and I loathe you and care nothing for you at all. I won't miss you if you die, by whatever means. In fact, I'll probably insult you during your funeral, whether I'm there or not.

If you, however, happen to be a particularly likable person, then I won't hate you at all. I'll either like you or not like you, but I won't hate or loathe you. And I will actually care somewhat if you die. We may even become friends.

I don't really hate people, nor do I particularly like them. I think the best way to describe my feelings toward people would be "distrust". Generally, I guess I just expect people to judge and dislike me, so I suppose this is saying more about myself than anything.

Humanity in a whole is very arrogant feeling itself above everything else in the world, that all exists to server the futherment of humanity. You know, we call locusts devouring beasts that leave nothing but barren planes in their wake, how many people realize that their used to be a forest where damn near every city stands? Locusts may consume, but they return to the earth and let life begin anew, were as humans stunt the world around them as we slowly destroy ourselves with hatred and greed. Eventually, hopefully humanity will destroy itself, and all the wasted resources will return to the earth, and a new higher lifeform will take our place and hopefully do it right. Of course, me actually being human this probably sounds like a crock, which is why I wish I was a xeno for this express purpose, the ability to talk down to humanity with the rights to do so.

As a general rule, I rather sharply dislike people and greatly prefer my solitude or the company of a warm, soft woman to keep even my highly individualistic soul from getting too lonely. (of course, this is a tremendous strain on any woman who would fall in love with me, as I'm aloof and can appear emotionally unavailable, which feeds back into my desire to be alone. O loner chicks who just need someone to love once in awhile and exist around, where are you?)

I don't really have an opinion on a person or a group of people until they show that thay're an almighty asshole, or someone who is fun to be around. On the whole, i'm not a trusting person, I'm always waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Until i'm given a reason not too yeah. That makes sense when you consider that any first meeting could be worse, for example they could try to eat your face. And as a general rule people don't do that.

On the whole, I'm the kind of guy that likes people, and describes them in a positive light, until they prove that they are a total douche. Even then I still describe them positively, as has been proved by this girl who asked me to describe Nathan, this guy I know for whom the idea of fun is cutting people. I said "Sure, he's an insane, psychotic guy, who is probably more violent than the guy from Clockwork Orange, but inside, he has a heart of gold."

Then I smiled, and the girls jaw just dropped.

Pretty much what everyone else has said. I don't like people from the start, I have to warm to them.
When I first met my boyfriend (when we were friends) I didn't like him when I first saw him and avoided him when he tried to kiss me. I warmed up to him during the day though ^-^

I guess I 'like' people. By that I mean I am generally optimistic about the new people I meet.
