Amos. Apparently it has biblical references but my parents are the complete opposite of religious so hell if I know why they picked it.
As for my opinion? I like having a name that stands out, something irregular. Just wish it was something that sounded a lot better. Guess you can't win them all.

Sortof common considering there are plenty of "Tyler"s out there, yet mine is unique due to the way it's spelled in comparison to the norm. It's an uncommon-common name, which is something I indeed like. Plus I admittedly like the way it sounds, so yeah I do like my first name. ^-^

My name is a generic Vietnamese name. I'm still being subject to mocking and name calling, this began when I was 4 (I'm 17 right now). I wish I can say I hate my name but no other name fits me as oddly as this name. The majority of people I meet whom never heard of me before pronounces my name like they've got a carrot shoved up their noses, try to insult said name, or laughs pitifully.

My name is Huy Nhat Phan.

As you can guess from the paragraph above. I am VERY hesitant to giving my name to others, and I get REALLY peeved by people who pronounce it wrong, which is almost everyone. Even my parents can't pronounce it right.

Yeah I like it... it goes well with an O on the end, and is easy to spess, so I am happy... I am in the military though, so I tend to go by Surname rather than Christian name, or just Sir from most people...

I get called Darling a lot at the moment, after the Blackadder character, (own fault for growing a moustache... eventially I looked more like a victorian, but Darling stuck faster than Watson) and I actually prefer that it's easier to hear in a crowded room!

My name saved me serious hassle in Primary school by not rhyming with anything, AT ALL - The closet anyone's ever got is Bagel....which doesn't rhyme with Rachel at all

Otherwise, it's ok...I was nearly Aisling (I know right....)and it's not too common, only problem with it is that everyone insists on spelling with it Rachael :/

Jordan would be my name, and a suitable one it is. It's not the best one in the world, but by now it's sort of like an old shoe, it's so comfortable it'd be hard to think of a name that I'd rather have.

Incidentally, I don't know why, but nobody in Canada can understand me when I say my name. I guess it's my accent (British) making it difficult, but it gets frustrating.
