What makes you go on? I'm just trying to survive until I can finally do something in this world. Do you live with purpose? What makes you continue? I'm a bit lost in this world, I'm just wandering around trying to find meaning in it all. I've finally found what I want to devote my life to, but it's going to take years before I can do it. I will continue until I can make a difference. What makes you continue to live in this world?
-Note: No suicidal, just want to know what motivates you.

If I had a purpose, I wouldn't be going to college and working a slightly-above-minimum wage job.

A love for music, happiness, and anything else that life has to offer.

As corny as it sounds, its what gives me purpose.

I'm trying to turn my life around, right now that is a purpose I have. Eventually I'll be trying to be a better person to everyone else, but it has to start with me.

OT: What makes me continue on? Well, my life hasn't exactly sucked so far, and I could be far worse off; so why not?

Right the wrongs of this world.

:/ People I know are always so baffled by how I can take any issue and just start babbling about it. They say I care too much; I say they don't care enough.

My other purpose in life is to find the truth, whutever the fuck that might be.

I tend to be a nihilist.

Most "purposes" people place before them are simply illusions they rely on to live on their lives without thinking the big questions. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Not that there's a wrong and right.

Just enjoy your exclusive ride and try to have fun by all means that satisfy you.

Good man. Never lose that humanitarian attitude. Bob Dylan once asked,"How many times can a man turn his head and pretend that he just doesn't see?" See. You never stop seeing.

As I see it, if an animal's purpose in life it just to eat, sleep, play, breed, & exrement, why should mine be any different?

Well, up till now I've followed the possibly misguided philosophy of "Cross Each Bridge When You Come to Them."
Now that my 2nd year of University is coming to a close, I've set myself a (relativley) simple goal: Get a job in the British Civil Service, preferably SIS (otherwise known as MI6).

Just having this (relativley) simple goal in mind keeps me going. When I achieve it, I'll find a new goal...that or go back to "Cross Each Bridge When You Come to Them."

British Intelligence? A lofty goal. Good luck to you, sir.

I don't really have a purpose.

Although, I'd guess one of my goals would be to fuck up the world as much as possible.

Although, my plan for world conquest isn't going very well.. Mic-spamming on Steam is getting kinda old, and defecating in the middle of traffic is just boring..

I have no motivation and see life as inherently pointless. At the most bare levels, we basically exist to perpetuate our species. I just live because I'm here, but I don't have a lot that I would really live for. I'd much rather be in a fantasy world, which would explain my time reading books, watching anime, or playing plot-heavy video games when I can get my hands on them.

To be honest, no. I am drifting. In my late teens/early twenties something in my mind shattered and the bits just didn't come back together right. I still wait for the right combination of medication (no joy so far) or psychiatry (calling them quacks goes down badly) to feel right.

Right now I am sitting up at 5am because I forgot to take my meds, can't take them now or be useless for all of tomorrow and am oddly afraid of the pig-faced man with the bright red eyes I see every time I close my eyes.

So yeah. No motivation, no particular hope. Ain't life a ***** sometimes.
