I've owned several copies of Starcraft, Diablo, and Diablo II. The damn things kept wearing out!

I've got two copies of Mechwarrior 3, as well as one complete and one partial copy of Betrayal in Antara. In both cases, one or more of the discs went missing, and I eventually bought a replacement. In Mechwarrior 3's case, I eventually found my original; I think the gremlins ate disc one of my original copy of Betrayal in Antara. In addition to this, I have three copies of the original Sonic the Hedgehog, and two copies of Sonic 2. These are: Genesis cartridge (both), Genesis cartridge containing six games (first one only), PS2 Sega Classics Collection (both). I also paid for TF2 twice, and Portal once after I had already received a free copy during the promotion, but Valve decided to be stingy and not let me gift the extra copies to anyone. Not that I'm complaining about getting Halflife 2 and both episodes for $7.50...
Edit: I also have two or three copies of Chex Quest, and two different versions of the free game that Disney made for their Atlantis movie, but I'm not sure if those count...

Well when I put away my gamecube after I got a PS2 I bought True Crime: New York. But after I hooked up my GCN again I sold the PS2 version. Also, I bought CoD 3 on PS2 then after I got my Xbox360 I went out and bought CoD 3 for that and sold the PS2 version. Currently though I have a copy of NHL 2002 for the PC and PS2.
I have three copies of New Vegas, two copies of Bioshock 2, two copies of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and two copies of Portal. With New Vegas, Bioshock and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood it's because I have special editions which I don't play (New Vegas I have PC, PS3 and PS3 special).
I have Oblivion, Shivering Isles, Knights of the Nine (+DLC on the same dvd) and Oblivion GOTY edition. I had to buy it because my pc decided that my Oblivion dvd was a nice snack.
I've got the North American releases of all 3 STALKER titles, The Russian release Collector's Editions of Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky, and the Russian release of Call of Pripyat.
I also have a hard-copy of FEAR and it's expansion packs, and FEAR2 - and I bought "back-up" copies of these titles on Steam when they had their package deal back in December.
Some others laying around, but don't remember what they are ATM.

The only game I own legit multiple copies of is Oblivion. I own it for the PC and the 360. Oh, i also own Puzzlequest on the PC and PS2
I traded in my old DAO and got the Ultimate Edition, and back in the day I bought and traded in Champions of Norrath 3 times. Everyone kept saying how great it was, I kept playing, and I kept thinking it was horrible, but then I'd think "maybe I was wrong" and bought it again. I think I bought it 3 times.
Another example of such was a PS2 game called Radiata Stories. For a while, I was highly addicted to it, and it broke 3 times. So I had to buy it 3 more times, including trading in an old PS2 that ate a copy of the game, for a new copy of the game.

See, I bought Marvel vs Capcom 2 for the PS2 not too long ago, because I had some extra cash kicking around, and I've always wanted to own that game. Cost me 80 bucks, since it's so rare. Spent the next 2 weeks unlocking EVERYTHING in the game. Guess what was announced 3 days later? Marvel vs Capcom 2, for PSN, with online play, and EVERYTHING unlocked from the start.

When my 360 croaked out of warranty a little more than a year after I bought it, I decided that Microsoft is not going to ever see another penny from me, so I rebought some games that I really wanted to replay for the PS3 (GTA 4, Bioshock, Fallout 3). I also own God Of War 1 and 2 as well as the remastered PS3 versions, if that counts.
